Getting to my native home town(s) requires one to:

“As a kid, my definition of the mundane was a little different…and my imagination ran ‘wild’ ”

“A stray wild cat”

A leopard caught by the forest

rangers back home, this is a feature

at least once every year

“The lost pet”

Elephants seeking refuge from

floods annually flee to tea gardens,

this particular calf was briefly

separated from the herd

“Another cloudy day”

My home town is near Mawsynram,

which is the rainiest place on Earth

(annual rainfall of 467.4 inches)

Growing up so far away from mainstream civilization, and amidst the variety of experiences, I developed a colorful

perspective in life, and was often lost in my own imagination as a kid…

“Books became the conduit for my imagination…and continue to amaze me until today…”

Growing up with a hobby…

Country settings of a tea garden, my love for dogs and

little access to electricity most likely caused me to fall in

love with books by Enid Blyton, and with many more

adventure novels thereafter…

Reading turned into a passion…

…the hobby evolved into a full blown passion, as I started

reading on a variety of subjects…and this has shaped my

core – my career, friendships and passions…

“While reading books, I liked to go deep into a subject, build perspective, and engineer ideas…”

My work in energy and sustainability exposed me to many new ideas, which I have tried to share through my articles, interviews and speaking

engagements

After studying for GMAT, I enjoyed (Left) coaching my friends

directly on taking the test, and (Right) sharing my perspective on

the topic on public forums (gmatclub)

I love reading up on cognitive sciences…and have a lot of fun in

trying to apply what I learn into understanding people … my

sister (above right) has had to bear with this for a while!

“Across all my efforts, the greatest satisfaction has been in making a difference…”

My latest GMAT student scored a 750…in continuing to help more friends, I

have built a bit of a reputation as a GMAT coach !

Getting feedback from people across the world on my

articles has been special…

This is my most treasured ‘thank-you’ card, signed by my trainees from across 7

countries during the Pan-Asia product training…
