« La lunette est devenue, au-‐delà de sa fonction initiale, un accessoire de mode qui participe

activement au désir d’image de soi. Ses formes et ses couleurs s’associent dans le but de

satisfaire la diversité des styles et des caractères. Traditionnellement le design de la lunette

se concentre sur la ligne, aigüe, courbe ou libre, qui confirme ou renforce les traits du visage

ou qui les dissout comme dans un délicat portrait au pastel.

...qui voudraient que les teintes chatoyantes soient exclusivement féminines tandis que le

noir et le chrome seraient l’apanage de la virilité.

La couleur s’exprime par les contrastes : couleurs claires s’opposant aux sombres, teintes

vives éclatant sur un fond neutre, polychromie composée de plusieurs tonalités antago-‐

nistes, vert-‐violet-‐orange, par exemple.

Aussi des cheveux blonds n’appellent pas une lunette jaune mais violette, une coiffure

blanche ou noire est magnifiée par une lunette rouge tandis que la peau mate s’illumine

grâce à la monture outremer, verte ou orange éclatant, qui fait écho aux autres objets, vête-‐

ments et accessoires. »

«In addition to their original function, glasses have become

a fashion accessory, playing an active role in creating our

desired self-‐image. Their shapes and colours are combined

with the aim of satisfying a wide range of styles and per-‐

sonalities. Traditionally, eyewear design has focused on

shape, whether angular, curved or free-‐flowing, in order to

underline and reinforce facial features or soften them as in

a delicate pastel portrait.

Colour can be expressed through contrasts: light shades

set against dark ones, bright colours standing out against

With their !oral inspiration, the temples of the ALOHA collection

consist of two strips that open into a corolla shape which is elegantly incorporated into the front. A niculan front and die-stamped temples are combined to produce an expan-sive highly-coloured frame.

ALOHA bestehen aus zwei Metallstrei-

fen, die wie eine aufgehende Blüte auseinander

gehen und zart ins Mittelteil eingesetzt sind. Die

Niculan-Mittelteile und gesenkgeformten Bügel

verschmelzen zu einer harmonischen Einheit und

bilden eine wunderschöne Fassung voller Volu-

men und Farbe

D’inspiration florale, les branches de la

collection ALOHA se composent de deux

lames qui s’ouvrent en corolle pour s’insérer

délicatement dans la face. Face en niculan

The LYA collection is a symphony of warm and sensual shades and shapes.

Delicately poised between classical and modern, it covers both high fashion with its curved single- piece fronts and the height of discretion with semi-rimless browbar models. The temples are decorated with a draped e"ect, giving them a di"erent appearance depending on whether it is a matt or glossy #nish.

XP2 High-‐strength polymer used in surgery and the aeronautical indus-‐try. We mainly use this material for its hypoallergenic properties, its stability over time, its lightness and its wide chromatic range.

Galvanization (metal coating)Galvanization consists of depositing metal by electrolysis. The frames are immersed in a bath containing metal ions which, under the effect of a current, are deposited on the surface of the metal. This type of coating ensures that our frames are very highly resis-‐tant to wear and tear.

WipingDifferent layers of varnish can be superimposed. Wiping consists of removing the upper layer of varnish using a solvent in order to allow the initial coating to appear. A unique method of its type, de-‐veloped by our subcontractors.

LacqueringExclusively manual technique of applying varnish with a syringe. Each component produced individually by highly qualified opera-‐tors justifies the «hand-‐made» description of Oxibis® frames.

Varnishing Varnishing of components is achieved by electrostatic spraying of clear or coloured varnishes. Along with lacquering, this is the trade mark of Oxibis® frames.

Ce type de traitement assure à nos montures une très grande résistance aux agressions extérieures et à l’usure

MonelEine Legierung, die sich durch eine ausgesprochen hohe Resistenz gegenüber äußeren Einflüssen auszeichnet. Ein Werkstoff, der auch von Herstellern von Luxusuhren gern genutzt wird.

NiculanEine gut aushärtbare Legierung. Sie ermöglicht eine ausgezeichnete Resistenz gegenü-‐ber äußeren Einflüssen.

XP2 Ein Polymer mit hoher Resistenz gegenüber äußeren Einflüssen, das vor allem auch in der Chirurgie und in der Luftfahrtindustrie genutzt wird. Wir verwenden den Werkstoff vor allem wegen seiner antiallergischen Eigenschaften, seiner Alterungsbeständigkeit, seiner Leichtigkeit und seiner großen Farbpalette.

Galvanisierung Bei der Galvanisierung erhalten Gegenstände durch elektrochemische Abscheidung einen metallischen Überzug. Die Fassungen werden dabei in ein elektrolytisches Bad mit Metallionen getaucht, die sich unter Einwirkung von elektrischem Strom auf der Metallfläche ablagern. Durch diese Behandlung erhalten unsere Fassungen eine be-‐sonders hohe Resistenz gegenüber äußeren Einflüssen und Verschleiß.

PutzenBei einer Fassung können mehrere Lackschichten übereinander liegen. Bei dieser Be-‐handlung wird die oberste Schicht mit Hilfe eines Lösungsmittels entfernt, um die da-‐runter liegende Schicht zu Tage treten zu lassen. Ein einzigartiges Verfahren, das von unseren Lieferanten auf diesen speziellen Anwendungsbereich zugeschnitten wurde.

Handlackierung Bei der Handlackierung wird der Lack per Spritze von Hand aufgetragen. Jedes Teil wird von hoch qualifizierten Facharbeitern einzeln lackiert, weshalb die Oxibis®-‐Fassungen die Bezeichnung «handgefertigt» tragen dürfen.

Sprühlackierung Dabei wird durch ein elektrostatisches Spritzverfahren farbloser oder farbiger Lack auf Teile aufgetragen. Durch die Lackierung erhalten die Fassungen ihre Farbigkeit, die zum Markenzeichen von Oxibis® geworden ist.

Essuyage Différentes couches de vernis peuvent se superposer. L’essuyage consiste à enle-‐ver la couche de vernis supérieure à l’aide d’un solvant afin de laisser apparaître le traitement initial. Procédé unique en son genre, mis au point par nos sous-‐traitants.

Laquage Technique exclusivement manuelle d’ap-‐plication de vernis à la seringue. Chaque pièce est réalisée de manière unitaire par des opérateurs hautement qualifiés, justi-‐fie l’appellation «fait main» des montures Oxibis®.

VernissageLe vernissage des pièces est réalisé par pulvérisation électrostatique de vernis in-‐colores ou teintés. C’est, avec le laquage, la marque de fabrique des montures Oxi-‐bis®.
