Serving as the voice of morethan 1.8 million Mississippians@e voice of the people was the foundation onwhich electric power associations were built morethan 70 years ago. Our membership’s voice hasserved as the guiding force for our success and isthe key to our future. We will never lose sight of
the importance of listening and responding to those we serve.
We are the Electric Power Associations of Mississippi, a statewide tradeorganization serving as the unified voice of all electric cooperatives inMississippi. Our most important role, however, is representing the morethan 1.8 million Mississippians we serve. @ey are hard working, strong invalues and courageous in their efforts to ensure Mississippi continues to bea great place to live and work. It is in this same spirit that we serve as theirvoice with elected officials.
We salute the more than 2,850 electric power association employees —all Mississippians — who work tirelessly to ensure each member isprovided high-quality and reliable electric service at the least cost possible.@ey serve with a commitment not only to their organization but to thecommunities and areas they call home.
We will continue to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to com-mon goals to ensure all Mississippians enjoy the benefits offered by electricpower. Because together we have the power to move Mississippi forward.

The work of an elected official is not unlike that
of a fine artisan. Both employ specialized skills
and knowledge in problem-solving.
Essential to the success of their efforts, whether
legislative or artistic endeavors,
are innovation, functionality and appeal.
The Electric Power Associations of Mississippi
presents the 2012 Legislative Roster
as a tribute to Mississippi’s elected officials,
who serve for the benefit of all Mississippians.

+ Committee reports and conference reports that are subject to being filed on these deadlines must be filed with the Secretary/Clerk no later than 8:00 p.m.
