devotionsSund ay - June 26
Here we are! And boom we are in Salt Lake City. God has already been good to us. Here is what is cool about this week….we have no clue what God is going to do! But this we know…He is going to work! Before this week gets in full swing we have to look at our hearts. Here is a truth I gave you last year at the start of our Cleveland Trip that I want to remind you of again: TRUTH… what you put into your spiritual life this week will be directly related to what you get out of it. Meaning, if you put little thought and effort into your devos and evaluation of your heart and life, you can expect little growth :) So…how is God going to work in your life this week? Will you allow this week to be another step in your journey with God? Out of curiosity, what are a couple of ways you want God to use this trip in your life? Jot them down using the questions below. Be specific. Vague goals lead to vague results. Don’t waste this week. Let’s be intentional about growing this week! 1) Complete the following sentences to help formulate some goals… • This week, I hope I…
• This week, I hope we as a group…
2) Complete the following sentences to help you put into action your above goals…
• In light of my answers above, I must…
• In light of my answers above, we must…

• In light of my answers above, I must not… (what attitudes and actions are you prone to struggle with, especially on a trip like this?)
• In light of my answers above, we must not…
4) Plan and Commit…. Take your responses from the previous questions and write out a “personal commitment” for the week. That is, what are you going to personally commit to be doing this week and commit to not be doing. You will sign it and seek out at least one other person on the trip who will read it, pray for its fulfillment, and keep you accountable to it.

Every day we are going to have one verse that will give us one thought for the day. Hopefully this we’ll help us get our heart and attitude moving in
the right direction.
Today’s verse Ephesians 3:20
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
Today’s thought God can do anything He wants
today…and we need to be ok with it.

Over the next two days we want to begin to evaluate the week. A huge desire of mine (Pastor Jason) is that we would translate what God has taught us this week to life back at home.
1. Take some time and read back through your trip goals you set at the beginning of the week. a) Write down some occasions where you fulfilled your commitment
this week.
b) Write down some occasions where you didn't fulfill your commitment this week.
2. If someone asked you, “what was the single, biggest thing you learned this week?” What would you say?
…also, what is the biggest thing you learned about yourself this week?
