Family Council will not meet in December. The next Family Council meeting will be January 18th at 5:30.

South Haven Staff and residents came together for a common goal of raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Staff participated in “$5 to wear jeans on Fridays”, made baked goods for bake sales, and Rueben fund raisers for the Wahoo community. Staff and residents

worked together to decorate wreaths that were sold last Christmas and decorated arrangements for a silent auction. All in all, South Haven was able to raise over $3900.00! On Nov 9th a representative from the Make-A-Wish Foundation came to receive our donation. She informed us that our donation was enough to grant a wish for a child to have a 2500.00 shopping spree! She also presented us with a plaque for our efforts.

Our Veteran’s at South Haven are special! So naturally on Veteran’s Day they were honored with special events. Lunch was brought in from Chips for them to enjoy. Then a Veteran’s Memorial Program with a local color guard was presented for everyone at South Haven. The Veterans were each given a certificate

in appreciation of their service. Thank you to all Veteran’s for your service!

Veteran Dick Herrera shows his wife his certificate.

Juanita Shanahan, Jalene Carpenter, Marie Bouc & Verla Nabity admire the plaque with the Make-A-Wish representative.

The Makovicka Winery was there also. In December we have plans for a movie outing and a get together for dinner and Christmas light tour!
