When Mission was Built (Founded)
• My mission was built in July 4, 1823 in San Francisco.
Mission Site
• My mission is located in San Francisco. It is near where Miwok and Pomo Indians lived.
Father Junipero Serra
• Father Junipero Serra was born in Mallorca, Spain. He founded nine missions. He died at the age of 70. When he was 16 he entered a catholic church.
Founder of Mission
• The founder of San Francisco Solano is Fray Jose Altimira. He had sailed from Spain to Alta California, which is now California.
Agriculture and Livestock• The Agriculture they had
was 3,500 cattle, 14,000 bushels, and for livestock 900 horses.

Indians Joining this Mission
Miwok and Pomo are two coast Indian tribes. Miwok lived on the peninsula across from San Francisco. The Pomo lived farther north.

The Americans won alta California and now it is California so since the Americans called themselves Osos which means bears so that’s why there a bear on the flag of California.

• The current use of this mission is for baptisms and marriages.

I chose this mission because its in San Francisco where my favorite football team is and its in California.
