“There is no evidence significant enough to warrant a finding of confidence in the outcome of the November 4, 2008 Election in Riverside County, CA or in the cost effectiveness of system.”

ROV continues to block public access to results screens
Even after new language added to law requiring it be at “legible distance”
Election law requires formal reports of all “technical visits” paid to the computer-programmed election scanners. ROV says Sequoia “repaired” a scanner, but no report was ever filed of this 3 a.m. visit

This form reduces account-ability by no longer reporting signatures for electronic voting and signatures for paper voting as discrete data. So no longer will the numbers not match, b/c they no longer report the numbers.
The purposeful withhold-ing of info needed to ensure the voters got to vote by exactly the method they signed up for is not an accept-able way to conduct Elections.
Signature counts are all lumped
A tool to reconcile the ballot counts requires writing down only 4 numbers from the Ballot Statement. # of E-Votes & E-Provisional and #of Paper Votes & Paper Provis.
Yet less than half of the 721 precincts ever posted the “Precinct Posting” for all to see.
48 new votes appear on DRE moved from Temecula to Riverside
Last day in Temecula ended with 64 votes. 1st day in Riverside starts @ 112

The BPAFs proved essentially useless in tracking the ballot processing – “it was designed for a single ballot election and November was a 2-ballot election”.

June June –– DREs DREs onlyonly for disabledfor disabled
In the June 2008 Election training, precinct workers were instructed that DREs were ONLY for disabled voters and voters with special needs.
Why EWhy E--Voting SkyrocketedVoting SkyrocketedAfter clearly instructing poll workers that e-voting was ONLYfor disabled and those with special needs in the June Election, the ROV does a 180 and instructs the workers to offer e-voting to EVERYvoter in the November Election.
This is contrary to the Conditions of Certification of the Sequoia System.
