The lighting is dim with shadows which symbolises the secrecy and importance of the mission which also reflects on the thriller genre to create suspense. When the air hostess offers Mr.Phelps a video she is in darkness whereas he is in more light almost like a spot light to show that he has got a high status/authority which links to the thriller genre to create a sense on mystery.

The acting of Mr.Phelps is calm and relaxed which portrays him as a serious character. This links to the sub genre of the movie and adds tension.

ACTING

Mr.Phelps is wearing a suit which matches the genre of the spy thriller. The suit also gives him a sense of importance and shows he has a high status.

Mr.Phelps has a serious expression to show that he is dealing with an important situation. He is also quite collected which shows that this isn't the first time that he’s had a mission like this which is shown through the fact he keeps the same expression through the whole video.
