COSTUMES/ MAKE UP

The costume that Sarah is wearing a hospital gown

which is just a simple dress but with the scene it

works wonders because in the previous scene she

was in a car crash.

The make-up what is used in the scene makes it

look like Sarah has been in an accident which

they use the makeup to show that she has been

injured by showing cuts.

MOVEMENT / ACTING

The movement is changing throughout the scene with

the girl the movement of the camera and the girl is

minimal except for when camera fades from black to

show the girl. The movement when she is running

down the corridor is really quick and moving really

fast. When Sarah has stopped running the movement

of the character are fairly still.

The acting in this scene shows that she doesn't’

know what she is going to do but then also when

they are she runs into Beth’s arms they are both

Sarah is breaking down which shows that her

family is now dead.

LIGHTING

When the girl with the cake has a dim light from the candles on the cake which

has an orange tint. But when Sarah wakes up in the hospital scene has a grimy

green tint to the set which makes It look eerie and empty. They would achieve

this by using green gels. In the last part of the hospital scene the lighting is really

bright with white coloring.

PROPS

There are not much props that

have been used in this scene but

in the first scene with the child

she is holding in a cake but this

is just to show that her daughter

died in the car crash. The

hospital equipment especially the

heartbeat monitor shows the

death of her family which is a

significant part of the movie.

SETTING

The setting of where the child is holding the cake is in a dark space where it it is just the

daughter the scene is in a and zooms into the cake but then this shows that the daughter has

died in the black background because this is giving the feeling that they are in an unknown

place. The second picture is showing that hospital is empty which can also give the viewer a

isolated feeling but also fits in with the second half of the movie that is the main theme.
