The interruption ability is the main and also the most im- portant electrical index for circuit breakers. The reliabil- ity of a circuit breaker at an extreme interruption condi- tion is related to the safety of the low voltage system, equipment or even persons. Meanwhile, the interruption characteristic is also an important criterion for judging the technical level, manufacture process and product qual- ity of circuit breakers.
The improvement of B42 series miniature circuit break- ers in rapid interruption and arc-extinction techniques has greatly raised the interruption ability and also the safety and reliability of B42 series products.
B42 series miniature circuit breakers have excellent cur- rent-limiting characteristic, which is superior to that speci- fied for Class III in IEC60898 standard. This means that, in case of a short circuit, B42 series Miniature circuit breakers can minimize the heating effect of the cable and fault point, which can not only improve the safety of the electrical system and reduce the effect of the fault on the system and equipment, but also reduce the impact of short circuit on the breaker itself, thus greatly increasing the electrical life of the breaker.
B42 series miniature circuit breakers conform to the supple- mentary safety provisions for the breakers with isolation function in IEC60947-2/GB14048.2 and fully satisfy all the requirements on isolating the electrical devices.

B42-63 miniature circuit breaker has high interruption ability, good security, wide application scope, fine appearance, compact structure and low power consumption. It adopts a T35-7.5 rail installation and can be used as a component in the power distribution system and various types of modular terminal combined electrical devices in industrial and civil construction, energy and infrastructural field.
