Mini Party Food Mini food is perfect for kids! They can have a little or a lot, and pick only the things they want to eat. Plus it is always cute! This eBook was inspired by my daughter’s birthday party – a party full of mini food. I couldn’t resist sharing the pictures and easy recipes with you. I’m not a expert. I’m an everyday mum who cooks. In fact I will always take the easy version if I can. So these are simple ideas that anyone can create.

Cheesy Bacon Mini Quiche Chop an onion and 3 bacon rashers, then fry them. Whisk together 10 eggs and ¾ cup milk. Add 1 ½ cups grated cheese. Divide the bacon and onion mixture into the bottom of 24 greased muffin tins.

Pour the egg mixture over – each tin should be only half full. Bake in moderate oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden.

Mini Pizza Split English muffins into two halves and lay on oven trays. Top with tomato paste, chopped ham, chopped pineapple and grated cheese. Bake in moderate oven for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is browned. Variations: You could top with any of your favourite pizza toppings – salami, capsicum, mushroom, pesto, olives, etc.

Mini Hot Dogs Cook cocktail frankfurts or small sausages - we used small chipolatas as well. Slice the top of small dinner rolls lengthways. Optional: Toast rolls lightly in the oven if desired.

Place a sausage and sauce in each dinner roll. You could add cheese too.

Mini Banoffee Pie

Blind bake mini tart cases for ten minutes in moderate oven then set aside to cool. Fill with caramel – I used Carnation Caramel in a tin but with more time you could make this yourself. Top with slices of banana and a dollop of whipped cream.

Divide between cupcake holders and bake for 20-25 minutes at 190C, or until a skewer comes out clean. Ice with chocolate icing.

Mini Jelly Cups We used small plastic cups from a catering store for these. Make up jelly according to the packet instructions. Divide between the cups. Refrigerate to set. You could add a lolly fish swimming in each one for small children.
