What we offer

Having overcome the heavy weight factor that is present in standard wood and metal drums, the unique engineering skills from Ming is demonstrated in all of our products. In 2007 Ming Drums officially entered the market to provide a wide range of drums for different ages, styles, genres, and repertoires to choose from. Our products include: Carbon-fiber/ Fiberglass/ Kevlar drum sets, specialty snare drums, marching drums, and accessories.

Our Revolutionary Difference! But as always, people are always looking for a new trend to change what is currently available, and become innovators in the music world. With that, we have seen different variations on shells, including attempts at previous fiberglass shells, and a few carbon fiber concepts that had potential to rival both wood and metal combined.

Originating from the unique hue of fiberglass within our exclusive dyeing technique, the JADE Series has an elegant

appearance to match up to its name. In order to have perfect resonance and color, we manufacture the shell and hoop

through a long-fiber wounded process to improve the bond. All of the drums feature fiberglass hoops which are specially designed to conserve drumsticks during heavy rim shots, as

Kevlar is a well-known component of bullet resistant vests and bullet resistant face masks. Since the early 1980s, army helmets and vests used by United States military forces have

taken Kevlar as a key component; .Using carbon fiber as a base structure, and combining that with high tenacity Kevlar,

Ming has been able to generate the warm tone and contrasting timbres from both metal and wooden drums to

create the SPECIAL FORCE Series. Carbon Fiber is the compound between inner and outer layers of Kevlar, and

through our unique processes you can see a seamless shell which is finished under an exquisite lacquer.

The Travel series is designed for any occasion such as street performance, concert or outdoor drumming, it means this

series can be placed in any place or space that common size drums cannot fit in. Combined with the light travel stand, the Travel Series is convenient to carry out and easy to assemble. With the characteristic of high density and light weight, the

100% carbon shell gives a quick response and higher strength than a typical travel kit. The bass drum gives off its powerful resonance though its size reduced, it attaches to the rack via tubes on either side of the rack that slide mounts on the bass

drum.
