1903

This bolt-action rifle was adopted by the U.S. Army

in 1903. Officially used in World War I, it was repla-

ced in 1936 by the M1 Garand, but it was also used

in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam

War. Today, it is still used in shooting competition

and is a favorite with collectors.

The Paratrooper is a lighter and more powerful ver-

sion of the M1 Carabine expressly requested by the

American Air Arms troops. This firearm was used du-

ring the Vietnam and South Korea wars. Today, many

U.S. Air Force battalions use the M1A1 Para as ser-
