BUCK SHOTS
The Bucks are now a season-high 35 games over .500 and improved their NBA-best record to
52-17 with a 113-98 win over the Heat on Friday. Milwaukee remains the only team in the
league with 50 wins and is one of only three teams that has clinched a playoff berth.
After being down by 20 at halftime of Friday’s game against the Heat, the Bucks stormed all the
way back and won by 15 points. This was the first time in NBA history that a team was down by
20+ points at the half and went on to win by at least 15 points.
At 52-17, Milwaukee has already clinched its best record since the 2000-01 season (52-30). A
win over the 76ers today would give the Bucks their most wins in a season since the 1985-86
campaign (57-25).
The Bucks enter today’s contest with the best home record in the NBA at 27-5. Milwaukee’s
84.4 winning percentage at home is on pace to be the team’s best since the 1984-85 season
(36-5, .878) and the fifth-best in the franchise history.
Milwaukee is 35-8 (.814) against the Eastern Conference this season, which is currently the
best record by an Eastern Conference team against its own conference since the 1996-97 Bulls
went 44-10 (.815). It also stands as the sixth-best mark all-time among Eastern Conference
teams.
Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied his 10th game of the season, and 13th of this career, with 30+
points and 15+ rebounds as he scored 33 points and hauled in 16 rebounds in Friday’s win. His
10 30-point/15-rebound games in 2018-19 are the most by a Buck in a single season since
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had 15 such games in 1974-75.

March 15, 2019 at Miami
W, 113-98 – A historic comeback
propelled the Bucks to a 113-98 win
over the Heat in Miami on Friday night.
Down by 20 at halftime, Milwaukee
outscored Miami 71-36 in the second
half to earn a 15-point win. It was the
first time in NBA history that a team
was down by 20 points at halftime and
went on to win by at least 15 points.
The Bucks got down by 20 at halftime
after shooting just 40.9 percent as a
team and scoring only 42 points.
Milwaukee quickly trimmed its deficit
down to single digits at 70-61 in the
third quarter, before closing out the
period on a 12-4 run to trail by just one
at 80-79 entering the fourth quarter. In
the fourth, the Bucks stormed out of the
gates with an 18-6 run to take a 97-86
lead. From there, they went up by as
many as 18 points with 4:25 remaining
and never trailed by less than 15 the
rest of the way. Giannis Antetokounmpo
led the way for the Bucks with 33
points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists.
Justise Winslow led the Heat with 20
points.
March 12, 2019 at New Orleans
W, 130-113 – The Bucks swept the
season series over the Pelicans with a
130-113 win on Tuesday. Neither team
was able to get much going offensively
in the first quarter, as Milwaukee and
New Orleans each finished with just 23
first-quarter points. After early back-
and-forth action in the second quarter
the Bucks started to take control of this
one, going up by 10 before heading into
halftime with an eight-point lead at 56-
48. Milwaukee started to get hot in the
third quarter, extending its lead to as
many as 22 points before entering the
fourth quarter with a 12-point, 101-89
lead. The Bucks’ 45 third-quarter points
were just one shy of matching the
franchise record. However in the fourth
quarter, New Orleans quickly cut
Milwaukee’s lead to just seven points at
105-98 with 9:13 remaining but the
Bucks responded with an 8-0 run to go
back up 15. New Orleans would only get
as close as 12 points the rest of the
way as the Bucks took home the win.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers
with 24 points.

MILWAUKEE BUCKS GAME NOTES – MARCH 17, 2019NEWS & NOTES
THE PRESIDENT – Malcolm Brogdon, the 2016-17 NBA Rookie of the Year, is having a career year in his third NBA season. Brogdon is
currently averaging a career-high 15.6 points per game while shooting career bests in field goal percentage (.505) and 3-point percentage
(.423). Brogdon is also shooting an NBA-high 92.8 percent from the free-throw line, making him the only player in the NBA shooting better
than 50.0% from the field, 40.0% from three and 90.0% from the free-throw line. A 50/40/90 season has only been done 13 times in NBA
history. Check out the table below for the last three players in the NBA to achieve this, and the field goal percentage leaders among guards
across the NBA this season.
SPLASH MOUNTAIN – Bucks center Brook Lopez has been one of the best 3-point-shooting big men in the NBA this season. Not only did he
become the first center in NBA history, and the first player in Bucks history, to make seven threes in back-to-back games (which he achieved
on 12/29 and 1/1), but he also broke his own record for most 3-pointers made in a season by a true center in NBA history. Among seven-
footers in the NBA, Lopez has made the most threes by a country mile.
Lopez, who is averaging 2.3 made threes per game this season, also ranks fifth in the NBA in blocks per game with 2.2. Should these
numbers hold the rest of the season, he’d become the first player in NBA history to average at least 2.0 threes made and 2.0 blocks per
game in a season.
