Pastor Sanusi was born November 1953 into a Muslim Family of late Olabinjo Musari Sanusi and Mary SANUSI (née EROGBOGBO) both of Ikorodu, Lagos State Nigeria. He went to a Muslim Secondary School- Jibril Martin Ahmadiyya Grammar School in Lagos, Nigeria, where he graduated in 1971.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY


He worked briefly at the Nigerian Ports Authority Apapa, Lagos before proceeding to College, to study Accountancy. In 1973 he went for his associate degree and was a pioneering student (1973 to 1975), and then to the Polytechnic in Calabar, Nigeria (now University of Technology Calabar). He then attended the Polytechnic in Ibadan for his Bachelors in Accountancy between 1976-1978. In both colleges, he came out with second class upper division.He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982 and became a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1993. He worked with UTC Nig. PLC from 1978 to 1986 in both Accounting and Auditing Departments before moving to the Banking Industry. Because of his versatility, Pastor Sanusi served in various departments of the Bank ranging from Investment Banking, Treasury, Corporate Development, Human Resources, Credit Risk Management, etc. He left the Bank in 1995 to set up his practice which was successfully run until 1997 when he relocated to Houston, Texas. In Houston, he worked briefly with Houston Business Development Corporation in the Credit Department before he went into full time ministry. God spoke to him in the restroom of the company that He did not bring him to the United States for secular job. You have done enough, He said.He got married in 1979 to Pastor Modupe Sanusi and the wedlock is blessed with a girl, Esther Peculiar Sanusi. Pastor Sanusi gave his life to Jesus while in the College in February 1974. Prior to this time, he was a very tough

boy, a rascal you don’t want to confront. However, the light of God in the young, well behaved, God fearing boys and girls on the College Campus attracted him into the Christian Fellowship where he gave his life to Christ, without any body preaching to him. God did the work by Himself. To Him alone be the glory.He joined The Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1981 and he went through all the trainings in the Mission including Bible College where he did a post graduate Diploma in theology.He was an Area Pastor in Nigeria before relocating to the United States. In the United States he rose to the rank of Parish Pastor, Area Pastor, Zonal Coordinator, and then Provincial Pastor.He is the Provincial Pastor with The Redeemed Christian Church of God North America and the preceding pastor over RCCG Restoration Chapel in Houston. He loves to play table tennis and in the past, soccer but now he is an avid fan of the sport. Pastor Sanusi believes in taking care of one’s health according to biblical injunction, which incidentally agrees with science. His passion for health is the inspiration behind his book titled “Take Charge of Your Health.” The book has been a blessing to many, and helped people take charge of their health.He is a well-disciplined, compassionate, quiet, and a thorough Pastor. As a leader he is respected and loved by all those who love the truth. Many have found joy and deliverance in his uprightness and sound teachings of the balanced word of God.•
