Children will be awarded merits for choosing fruits and vegetables. Stay Safe. Protect Mile Cross. Keep School Open. Mr Allen Reception have been learning about the traditional tale- The Ugly Duckling. They have been learning to dam our river to float the ducks. In Science Year 2 have been looking at what it takes to be a healthy human! We made healthy snacks using fruit including a fruit smoothie. Most of us enjoyed them! This week, Year 5 have been learning to multiply fractions. They found it SO much easier than adding or subtracting fractions. In Maths, Year 1 have been pictorially drawing the tens and ones of a number. Nursery have been practising naming 2D shapes. This week, Year 3 have been learning to tell the time to the nearest minute - ‘past' and ‘to’ the hour. We also ordered daily events in chronological order. Year 4 have been learning about angles in maths. They used a Pac-Man angle finder to look for right angles around the classroom. FRIDAY 14TH MAY 2021 This week in English, Year 6 have been conducting interviews for their newspaper reports on the popularity of Pop Its. They interviewed each other as well as adults to create a balanced report.

A Tasty Dessert

Here are the winners of this week’s Golden Ticket. Tickets are awarded every week to a child in each class who has read at least 5 times a week, completed their homework (reading or times tables), attended school all week (on time) and has an amazing ‘can do’ attitude

towards their learning. Winners will have their photo in a frame outside their classrooms, be celebrated in Monday’s online assembly and will also take some special cake home as a treat.
