Members of UNITED BRETHREN-The Alumni Association of BVIMR

“MILAP - Annual Alumni Meet” is conducted by UNITED BRETHREN-The Alumni Association of BVIMR every year. It is held in order to provide a formal get together platform for BVIMR’s Alumnus where and when the alumni students recall their golden time in college and also share their experiences.

• The Annual Alumni Meet of BVIMR was organized on 20th December

2014 at BVIMR Campus with an aim to foster a spirit of friendship and co-

operation among the ex-students, the present students, the faculty and staff of

the institute and bring everyone together.

• This mega event was attended by more than 500 alumni starting from the year 1992(first batch) pass-out batch to the recently passed out batch ie.2014.

The event began with a band performance. Then Mr. Rajesh Setia, Vice President, BVIMR Alumni Association gave an overview about the Institute, MILAP and United Brethren. He shared his experience of hosting alumni meet in London, Australia and Patna in 2011. His experience brought a wonderful evening to rekindle old memories amongst the alumni and they recalled the heydays at BVIMR.

Thereafter, the ramp walk by UNITED BRETHREN Alumni members took place followed by the BVIMR’s corporate movie depicting glory and achievements of the Institute played in front of all assembled alumni, faculty members and invited guests. The memorable events of alumni’s

college life were presented in the form of a video film.

Since the theme of MILAP this year was “BOLLYWOOD ISHTYLE”, BVIMR’s students performed on various peppy retro songs and made the evening even more frolic and lively.

Followed by dance performance by bhangra group which forced everyone present in the event to groove. All in all, the event was full of fun and filled the air with joy and excitement

Hon’ble Director, Dr. Vikas Nath, then shared his valuable words with all the alumni members. He highlighted the aim of the MILAP to reunite all students of this Institute, past and present and to foster a feeling of belongingness among them. He conveyed the good wishes of the Institute for their success in the corporate world. He recounted the splendid achievements of the Institute like “A” Grade Re-accredited by NAAC particularly over the past seven years during which the Institute transformed itself to occupy a place of pride among the elite business schools in the country. He shared his views with the audience especially about the visionary leadership of Dr Patangraoji Kadam Founder Bharati Vidyapeeth and Dr. Shivajirao Kadam, Vice Chancellor ,Bharati Vidyapeeth University. He invited the alumni members to visit the campus and requested them to see the changes themselves. He again requested them to give suggestions for further development of the Institute.

The alumni members were overwhelmed by the warm and cordial reception and hospitality accorded to them.

Last but not the least a vote of thanks was given by Mr. Rajesh Setia in which he concluded the event by

saying that our alumni has spread all parts of the world and are doing great for themselves and society .The

event rounded off with all present joining a sumptuous dinner. Alumni members left with fond memories of

the event and left with a promise to re-unite in “MILAP-2015”.
