For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second. For finding fault with them, He says,   “BEHOLD, DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD, WHEN I WILL EFFECT A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH;  NOT LIKE THE COVENANT WHICH I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS ON THE DAY WHEN I TOOK THEM BY THE HAND TO LEAD THEM OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT;  FOR THEY DID NOT CONTINUE IN MY COVENANT, AND I DID NOT CARE FOR THEM, SAYS THE LORD. “FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

1. Those “Sanctified” have Spiritual Gifts.

And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.

And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together, and were bewildered because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.

Sanctification is a spiritual state whereby we become

holy like God, we take on the character of Christ, and manifest it to the world.

Adoption: New relationship with God

Justification: New standing with God

Perfection: New quality of life given by God

Sanctification: New character developed in us by God

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.- John 1:8-9

3. Perfected StageBeloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. - I John 3:2

Process of Sanctification

… you can never be more Justified (Forgiven), Adopted (Belong To God), or Perfect (Acceptable), to God as the day your were baptized.

In this life…

… you don’t gain heaven by the process of Sanctification, you experience heaven!
