Choice of color:

I chose accented harmony because my artist mainly started with neutral colors especially shades of black.

Then he gravitated towards bright, unnatural colors in his later works. My palette draws from his neutral color 

beginning to his bright color use later in life. I wanted to surround Odilon with the bright blue since his self 

portrait is quite monotone.

Choice of typeface:I chose Georgia as my typeface because I felt Odilon has an older, classical style and Georgia with it’s

serifs, reflects that. Georgia is not too modern of a font. I also used bold to emphasize the artist and the

years in which the paintings were created I wanted to emphasize the year because this design piece is
