He graduated from Princeton University and earned two master’s degrees, one in Psychology, and one in Business Administration; and he recently earned a law degree from Mercer University, graduating cum laude. Serafy has worked as an educator and as a counselor, and is a registered mediator, and currently works full- time in private-practice counseling, seeing families, couples, and youths. He has been a cartoonist and caricaturist for the Macon Telegraph and blogs, and paints in watercolors, oſten choosing vibrant street scenes or historical buildings and sites for subjects. He teaches guitar lessons and conducts both music therapy and art therapy. He has traveled extensively and internationally, a practice which has informed and fueled his art, and he has visited 49 of our 50 states. Serafy’s heritage is Greek, and Greece is one of his favorite places to visit and to paint. Our annual Holiday Artists’ Market had more participants and a more heavily attended opening. It was wonderful seeing the great variety of art work, crafts, and gifts on display. It will be exciting to see what everyone comes up with for next year’s market!
