Integrated depth sensing and projection
Inherently auto-registered sensing and projection FOV
Single photodetector ToF system
No camera calibration routines (regardless of environment)
Infinite depth of focus (analog of focus free projection)
Single module benefits industrial design
Time of flight (ToF) for depth sensing offers the following advantages:
LBS (flying spot) ToF inherently contains angular pointing/positioning info
No compute cycles spent on vision algorithms
No correspondence matching, disparity mapping, etc.
Fast response (dynamic point cloud updating)
Inherently high ambient suppression
Variable power/smart power modes for depth sensing in FOV
Variable resolution (point cloud acquisition does not have to be from a fixed grid and frame oversampling yields very high resolution)
Integrated Time of Flight Depth Sensing & Projection
Benefits of our LBS approach

Time of Flight Mid-Range LiDAR Scanner in Action
Demo system is scanning
the room and capturing
onscreen the people and
objects in the space. For
demo purposes the range is ~7
meters.
Distance of objects from the sensor indicated by color – the closer to the sensor, the lighter the object.
Back wall of suite at max distance is dark purple. People and objects like the chair are varying colors depending on where they are
standing in the room.
Little or no difference in color map for white and black objects at same distance – each figure in captured image is monochromatic regardless of
colors of what they are wearing, skin color, or hair color.
