Tracking an Email in Outlook – 2 (or 3) Step Process
1. Create your email as you normally would.
2. Click the “Track” button.

If you want to track an email to a specific item (such as a Matter, a Client or an Opportunity):
2. Click “Set Regarding”
3. Choose the record to link the email to.

Viewing a Tracked Email
Tracked emails, and attachments, are automatically created in CRM.
You can easily navigate to CRM records with just one click from Outlook.
This link opens the Matter, Case or Opportunity.
These links open the record for each contact in the email.

The Same Options are Available for Appointments
Click “Track”
This link opens the Matter, Case or Opportunity.
These links open the record for each contact in the appointment.

You Can Also Sync Outlook Contacts
One click to push contacts into CRM.
Contacts stay in sync no matter where they are updated.
These contacts are in Outlook only (personal contacts).
These contacts are synced with CRM.

Email Templates Can Also be Used
When tracking an outgoing email, you can click “Insert Template” and select any template that was created in CRM.
Templates can be edited before they are sent.
This is a big time saver for standardized communications.
