What to expect from our Training course

You have taken your first step into your new career as a first class Microblading Technician in the field of ‘Semi Permanent Makeup’.

Our specially designed courses have been created to administer you with a wealth of knowledge and skills to provide exceptional treatments to your very own clients. The skills taught on our courses are unparalleled and highly sought after.

Our training centre maintains and progressively aims for the highest industry training standards. It is important to us that our trainees are provided with the greatest amount of theory and practical knowledge throughout their training. We aim to work above and beyond your expectations – by the end of the course we will have provided you with training which will leave you feeling confident and full of anticipation for the successful career you will have ahead of you.

The techniques you will learn on your training course will show you how to skilfully and effectively implant pigment into the dermal layer of the skin, giving your clients their desired eyebrow look.

The Microblading techniques you will be shown during your training will be contemporary and advanced. Prices you charge clients should be a reflection of your work and you should always ensure that prices are streamlined to ensure that you maintain a professional image.

These procedures are not only aesthetically awarding to a client but can also be advantageous to them. For example someone who has suffered with alopecia may find a sense of comfort and confidence in their new ‘tattooed’ eyebrows.

Follow-up appointments, including free second treatments if this is how you structure your payment, are a way of building a relationship with your client on a more personal and trustworthy level. It is important to a client that they can always come back to see their technician for any necessary adjustments on their healed treatment.

Once you have studied and completed the required ‘case studies’, you will be asked to send your pictures for assessment. This involves completing five procedures and sending us four pictures for each client: before, drawn on, tattooed and healed. This will be your opportunity to showcase how your skills have developed and evolved during your case studies. Following this, your portfolio will be reviewed, and given that you have mastered the skills, knowledge and ability, you will have passed and be ready to start your new career in Microblading, one that is rewarding, both financially and emotionally.

Here at Medicare Cosmetics, our course is tutor led! Our trainees will not be sent away to practice on their own – they will be thoroughly supported by our trainer whilst having the opportunity to treat 6-8 models over the course of 3 days.

It is important to us that you are provided with the greatest amount of theory, practical knowledge and practice throughout your training. Our aim is that by the end of your training you will feel confident, encouraged and full of anticipation for your successful new career as a microblading technician.

Not only will you leave your course equipped with the skills you need to carry out this procedure safely and confidently, you are also given a kit worth £350! This kit will enable you to carry out your 5 case studies which will be chargeable - so you will already start to make your money back that you spent on the course!

Courses we offerThis training is suitable for trainees who are completely new to the industry or tattooing or brow design. There will be two trainees to one teacher.

• Three-day course – day one theory, demo and practice mats, days two and three treatments on models

• Treat more models than most other courses, giving you the confidence to continue your new career with confidence.

This course is suitable for trainees who have previous tattooing experience and want to convert from digital tattooing to Microblading.

• Our course and diploma is fully recognised in the UK and insurance with ABT insurance.

• Starting 9:30am – 4:30pm

• Course with home pre-study of 15hrs

• Ongoing support Monday to Saturday

• Two day course – day one theory, demo and practice mats, day two treatments on models.

COURSE BREAKDOWNDay 1Theory, drawing on brow templates and hair stroke formation on fake skin

Theory includes;

• Demo

• Drawing clients the perfect brow shape / brow re design / perfect hair stroke brows

• Treating clients with and without eyebrow hair

• Understanding pigment and pigment selection

• Dos and don’t of Micro blading / the difference between microblading and digital tattooing

• Anatomy of the skin and which depth pigment will be implanted

• Skin diseases, contra indications / who is safe to treat and who isn’t/ when drs notes are needed

• Aftercare and the healing process

• Consultation techniques and paper work and client profiling

• Appropriate blade selection and configurations

• Disposal of blades / health safety and sanitation/cleaning and disinfection

• Guidelines regarding blood borne pathogens / cross infection prevention

• Patch testing / allergies to nickel and pigment

• Myths and trues about spmu

• Best practice in treatment room setup

• Business set up and advice

Day 2 & 3Treat 3 or 4 models on each day. Treating this number of models enables you to gain the confidence you need to complete treatments on your own.

PaymentsA deposit of £500 will be required to secure your place on the course.

The deposit is non refundable and secures your place on this course.

Terms and ConditionsOur terms and conditions are effective from the receipt of your deposit.

CancellationCancellations can be made in writing no less than 28 days before the start date of the course. You will incur an admin charge of £200.

If less than 28 days, the entire course fee is payable. Medicare Cosmetics LTD reserves the right to cancel a course. It will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient date.

Insurance is £245, then £50 to update this once you have acquired your qualification.
