Micro80 Gen2 TM: New experiences in thermal image sensorsMicro80 Gen2 leverages the very best of fi rst generation 80 x 80-format thermal image sensors (including a fully digital system, high-quality imaging and low power consumption) and introduces valuable new features that are unique in the fi eld of large-volume thermal image sensors.

The fi rst thermal image sensor developed using a Ball Grid Array (BGA) package, it is fi tted with an integral lens holder that sets a new standard for M10 mount optics.

The Micro80 Gen2 thermal image sensor combines a full range of features, offering unlimited potential to create new thermal imaging experiences.

Similar to ULIS’ existing thermal image sensors, Micro80 Gen2 provides 24/7 detection in all environmental and weather conditions, whether day or night, and for indoor as well as outdoor applications.

� Accurate thermal sampling: < 100 mK sensitivity.

� Extended operating temperature range for digital and analog modes.

�More compact and lighter weight than earlier models, making it easier to integrate Micro80 Gen2 into very small modules.

� Compatible with all applications and types of detection (fast or slow objects) due to a broad spectrum of frame rates (from 1 Hz to 50 Hz).

� Full compliance with privacy standards: unlike CMOS cameras, Micro80 Gen2 enables discretion – inhibits facial recognition.

EASY implementation

MICRO80 GEN2TM BACKWARD MODEL COMPATIBILITY:

�Micro80 Gen2 derives from the ULIS’ I2C product platform, thus uses the same ROIC (Read-Out Integrated Circuit) as the earlier model MICRO80P-044.

�Micro80 Gen2 uses standard power supplies, which makes the sensor easier to develop and integrate (e.g. requires no low-noise power supply).

ULIS’ thermal image sensors take our customers’ development needs into account from the design phase, limiting implementation costs and shortening time-to-market.

� The Micro80 Gen2 is a Ball Grid Array (BGA) Surface Mount Device that is easy to integrate into assembly processes. It is fully compliant with JEDEC’s refl ow and handling standards. The thermal image sensor is a component like no other!

� The Micro80 Gen2 provides full digital Input/Output.

� The Micro80 Gen2 uses a standard implementation protocol (I2C and HSync/VSync clocking) with full access to sensor features.
