CHALLENGES/OBSTACLES1. ORGANIZATIONAL LEVEL:

Lack of co-ordination of line departments

Poor documentation & reporting

Limited human resources

2. FARMER COMMUNITY LEVEL:

Frequent change of village leaders (VC, VDB)

Absence of organized markets

Ignorance of post harvest technology/value add

• Empowering traditional village institutions ensures effective implementation of any development activity• Women are more transparent, accountable & dependable• Respect Farmer’s knowledge as they know what is best• Flexibility in choosing activity for income generation • Participatory approaches works better rather than top down approach
