We have decided affordable housing in
Australia has regressed since 2004
because rental costs as a proportion of
household income for low income rental
households, (our progress indicator for
affordable housing) have increased.

Better living conditions. More housing
for people who really need it. More
supportive payments for older persons
on Newstart. It is so hard for older
persons to find new work, they need
better support.
Mental Health. More housing
for people that need
accomodation. More job
opportunities for aged
people. More influence of the
Greens party. Look more for
future generations - animals,
land, trees to protect)
That the new
government address
the housing crisis
Homelessness remains
a primary focus for
the government
Finding young people jobs. Better
education options for people
with disabilities - they so often
are left behind. Take care of
pensioners and single mums, they
are doing it really hard. The cost
of living has gone up so much,
we need support.
I would like politicians to do
their job properly. More
affordable housing. Like
them to crack down on
crime and criminals in
general. More jobs.

So what???
If consensus is not enough…
How do we, as a collective, persuade the federal government that it still has a very big
role to play in the H&H space?
and
How do we convince its representatives that it needs to be a coordinated and concerted
effort to bring about sustainable and meaningful change?
Thanks for listening!
