and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance...i

What or who controls our desire to laugh, sing, dance or love, and who or what passes by when we must cry, or can no longer live?

Who or what was to blame for the death of the „King of Pop“ at 50? Was it the doctor or just stress? Can one see this from a higher and more connected perspective, and perhaps more importantly: is death the end?

Earlier kings and queens had enormous power over normal people, and todays megastars with their songs have also mediated our moods of joy or sadness, have tried to heal the world...replacing even the role of gods to some part, yet who or what controls or empowers the destines of those mortal people who have such power over us on Earth?

There was a time when Heaven and Earth were more lovingly connected, people lived longer and in fact maybe never even died! But as we left „Eden“ or began to seperate from the Golden Age it was the priest-king-healer who took the role of maintaining some contact between the divorcing couple - Father God in Heaven and Mother Goddess Earth.

As the world plunged deeper into darkness the Mystery Schools attempted to keep this deeper truth alive in secret places.

At the turn to the 20th century the philosopher Friedrich Nietzche noticed that man's development, his science, was finally destroying God completely. Also at this time our modern society was beginning to suffer signs of its direction – alienation and neuroses that required the birth of psychoanalysis and therapies that now increasingly offer drugs. But are these not substitutes for something that has long been missing, signs of the loss of connection perhaps?

In very ancient societies as far as we can see there was a God, or a number of gods, yet the prime creator was not God, for he himself was the son of the Mother Goddess and it was from Her womb that life was created. Often She fulfilled the role of mother and bride

as he of husband and son. It was She that created both Suns and Earth and all gods and creatures including ourselves. She was not just our Earth but the whole galaxy. To understand anything one just had to ask one's Mother – Sophia – Saraswati – many forgotten names. She was the great Teacher, the Goddess of Wisdom.

Early in the 20th century, during the short pause between dropping bombs in WW I and II, radio waves were discovered coming out of the Heavens2. That was a sign of renewed contact with Her, a contact that we very much need at this time.

The lamp of the Sun goes on and off, and sometimes hides the smock of Her starry gown. Yet come the night Her great galactic body filled with stars covers us and Her voice speaks to us – Mother Mary comes to us, speaking words of wisdom. It is important to understand Her, for She had a great influence on the life of Michael Jackson, as She does on all Her children.

The Mother goddess known to earlier cultures was not merely a representation of our Earth, but of the whole Milky Way Galaxy and Her most secret part, Her grail, Her womb, source of the MYSTERY, was the Galactic Centre.

Of course this galactic genetrix was in microcosm also the Mother Earth and the honoured womb of each woman, this connection to Mary Magdalene3 as living representative of the Goddess has also been destroyed - perhaps the closest we now have as living representative is the Goddess Kumari4 in India.

Humanity lived once as children of both a Mother and a Father who dwelled together in one house before decay set in in the Great Year cycle.

The Mayans of Mesoamerica saw themselves bound to the Galactic Centre by an umbilical cord.

The godly aspect in Heaven was found opposite the Galactic Centre at the Galactic Anti Centre. Up here was a great constellation called Taurus and before this great Bull stood a giant with a raised arm called Orion and the constellation Gemini was also there. The Bull was called in earlier times the Lord Bull of Heaven or Gut-anna, from which word Gut it has been suggested we got our word God.

The Galactic Centre was God's mother and bride. He was alpha, She was omega, He was the beginning and She the end, in the cycles of life and death, he alpha-the Life-the Sun- was sacrificed to Her, returned to Her womb only to be born out of

Her again as day was born of night and summer of winter. Omega – Om - was the root of the tree of life and the root-womb of the body.The upward pointing triangle shown in the Star of David symbol above was the symbol of the Yang fire power- it points towards three yang lines that symbolized heaven in Chinese,

and is associated with the month of June. Yang is the power of God. The downward pointing triangle in the Star of David points towards absolute Yin, it looks like a cup or grail and is associated with the lower elements of earth and water, it is called in trigram form K'un and associated with the month of November to December – the same month of the sign Sagittarius in which the Galactic Centre is placed. The interesting thing about Yin and Yang is that Yang contains Yin (its dark eye) and also leads to it while Yin contains Yang- as eye and also births it.

So we see that one power or part of every cycle, be it daily, yearly or even great yearly, gives birth to the other , yet both were originally seen as intimately connected - God and Goddess were mother and child. As Yin swells to her greatest size like a drop of falling water or a pregnant woman's belly, She births at the base of the cycle the Yang power of the returning Sun. That is why all solar sons of God or godly kings- were born on 25th

December three days after the winter solstice 21st /22nd December. Chinese wisdom calls the winter solstice Fu: the time of Return. It recognizes that this goddess power of K'un- Sagttarius is not just dark, it contains beauty and light but veils it. The Goddess was often pictured as veiled.This veil is the Mystery that few mortals see beyond- but what seems dark and unfathomable contains also light, just as the night sky shows us millions of stars like our own Sun, yet when our Sun shines, when the light of life shines, we are „blinded by the

light“ (as the song goes) to these galactic jewels and lose sight of the greater picture. In China the word for king arose directly from this understanding of the sacred connection between the Earth and the whole Milky Way Galaxy especially the Galactic Centre and they realized that from here in each of us the kingly snake - the fiery serpent of the kundalini rose, from the root chakra- muladhara - that was the power- root centre of the body, in a woman this area is the womb of life. The Galactic Centre is the womb of our galaxy as the Sun is the heart of our solar system, both are essential to creation and are dawn together in each body. Now is a time maybe to awaken the sacred sacral area of each body to life where the snake has slept.It is from the galactic root power house that I would see Michael Jackson drawing his strength when he danced.

Michael Jackson has a bow pointed at the Galactic Centre in conjunction with the planet Saturn. This means that He was deeply connected to this Goddess power. Kings of ancient times realized, they were given their power by Her but had it taken away again by Her tooiii.

Kings generally were associated with Orion particularly as the zenith or most yang point of the Milky Way. The Ki-ng (ki in Sumerian was the word for earth) was however of earth.He was associated with the Yang pyramid form- pyra-mid is pyra -fire through the middle, and a copy of the primorial volcanic mountain that connected heaven and earth. The pyramids were at least symbolically burial places for the king, Osiris claimed he was the pyramid – meaning the dwelling of the yang fire force- and the pyramids were aligned to Orion to send the soul of the king back to heaven, Osiris who had lived as a king on earth and was often thought of as bull-headed. His return, his resurrection is awaited in the near future, like Jesus Christ:

"Behold he has come as Orion, behold Osiris has come as Orion. . . O king, the sky conceives you with Orion, the dawn-light bears you with Orion. . . you will regularly ascend with Orion from the eastern regions of the sky... (Pyramid Texts, line 820-2)

All over the Earth are monuments and etchings in stone going back perhaps over 30,000 years associating with Orion and especially with Orion as King, King Narmer was also shown on the Narmer plate with one arm raised in the Orion pose. Orion was also the

great hunter, Orion was the shepherd ( also an image of the king- King Gilgamesh in the great Sumerian epic was called a shepherd, Jesus was called both king and shepherd identifying him with this same area of the heavens, yet their bodies connected earth and heaven they were the whole axis, the galactic axis crossed by the mundane axis and the sacrifice of kings on this galactic-world image was common.) All kings in associating with Orion represented the closest highest point that a mortal could reach-immortal must partake of the dying and resurrecting story which is our story, the story of the body dying and the spirit returning to heaven. Yet all that reach the heights and call themselves kings would earlier have also to die. Mary Renoult wrote of the matriarchal rites of earlier times in „The King Must Die“. Michael Jackson raised himself to this same god-king status in many eyes- a modern Jesus with his arms stretched wide.

Yet Orion, the king, and all of heaven were dependent on the Galactic Centre as the crown of a tree is dependent on its root, the cycles of Sun and Moon and planets are subordinated also to the living force emanating from the Galactic Core - lady of the dance - it is to Her rhythms that all life in the galaxy dances, whether consciously or unconsciously. It is interesting that science rediscovered Her in the 20th century while trying to send and receive radio waves over longer distances, like over the sea, but had not thought to receive waves coming from 26,000 miles away! So She came back with music, as music entered each home through the radio. Just recently we have been finding out how the Galactic Centre eats stars, but also births them (three stars being born iv ) , as the ancients knew, star power is Yang power. The black hole of Yin at Galactic Centre births the light of Yang and the whole galaxy is the embodiment of Yin and Yangv, perhaps the power in this Yin Yang formula will be the motor leading to our ability to travel through time and wormholes in space one day.

Her Chosen People

Those who were born with strong planetary connection to this Source were Her Chosen People, Michael Jackson was one of those Chosen People as were many great musicians that we have loved as if they were royalty. Mozart had the Moon and Pluto conjunct the Galactic Centre, Beethoven had the Sun and Moon conjunct the Galactic Centre.

It has been said that those who have strong planetary aspects to the Galactic Centre have

something other-worldly about them, or they may feel as if they have come from another planet, perhaps their magic is that they can connect through the root of the galactic tree, to all the stars of the galaxy which are all leaves, flowers and fruits on one tree – what enormous potential, yet sometimes these people may seem a little strange or distanced ;-)

Madonna must have felt Michael Jackson's passing as if a star should fall from one binary solar system: the King and Queen of Pop, Michael Jackson and Madonna, were born in the same year, 1958, and also in the same month; both in August 1958.

If one would associate the King of Pop with an area of the heavens then best the highest branch of the Milky Way tree where the constellation Orion is placed – Orion is the brightest most famous figure seen in the heavens associated with the greatest rise and the greatest falls in mythology, something similar has been said of Michael that none have risen so high or fallen so far(?)

The chinese symbol for King connected Heaven and Earth. The three horizontal lines created by the lunar phases were bound by the vertical axis of the Milky Way, which was also seen as the main beam of a house and could be compared

to the chakras rising from the root (Mula in India) at K'un below to the crown above in Heaven.

In the year 1958 the Heaven and Earth were set on creating musical genius and even royalty. Madonna has not surprisingly that same galactic root empowering Her and even naming her, for Saturn was also conjunct the Galactic Centre as she was born. Also, to make the royal family complete, Prince was born on June 7th 1958.

To confirm the association of 1958 with „royalty“, the man who grew up to play the king named Aragorn in the „Return of the King“5, (see Lord of the Rings Inspired by the Galactic

Centre) named Viggo Mortenson, also had a bow pointing at the Galactic Centre conjunct Saturn. As he played the king, his Sun and Mercury had also progressed into the royal sign of Sagittarius.

A great number of other talented artists and musicians like Kate Bush ( b. July 30th) were born in 1958 as well: Andy Gibb, the youngest of the Bee Gees, who sadly died at 30 of myocarditis, also had this aspect.6

As I was young myself, I noticed the greatness of the people born under this year's stars and sometimes wished I had arrived on Earth a bit earlier beneath the amazing conjunction that occurred in this year, the conjunction of Jupiter, planet of kings (and husband of the Galactic Centre Goddess - Hera), with Neptune, planet of music.

However, I saw a tragic aspect to many of the lives of those born in this year. Many of them had something different about them and a destiny to follow, many of them had talent in a number of the arts, especially music but many went to excess with drugs. Now I know that some of them have died young.

Let us look at the year 1958 more deeply that birthed our King of Pop.

In the year 1958 an earlier king, the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, had reached a high position up in the charts, Elvis' Golden Records was released in this year including hits like:Hound Dog - All Shook Up - Heartbreak Hotel - Jailhouse Rock - Don't Be Cruel - That's When Your Heartaches Begin - Teddy Bear - Love Me Tender - Blue Suede Shoes, and a film entitled „King Creole“ also came to the cinemas.

Michael Jackson associated in many ways with Elvis Presley.

1958 brought also for Elvis fans a rather tragic seperation, for Elvis travelled to Germany in military service, though on the positive side for him this would lead to his meeting with his future wife Priscilla in 1959. Seperation and loss would play a role in this year and the aspects, as would travel. Jupiter and Sagittarius are associated with travel and Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune conjunct Jupiter imply losses.

As we have already associated the Galactic Centre with the Mother so also we have associated it with our „first home“- the womb from which we came.

Another thing that connects Michael Jackson and Elvis is the importance for Elvis of his much loved home „Graceland“ that was particularly significant in 1958, having been bought first in 1987. Elvis was photographed before it in March 1958. Michael Jackson's own home „Neverland“ would be built partly after this memory of „Graceland“.

Looking through the musical charts of the year 1958 is like walking through a Hall of Fame, with hit after stunning hit: this was truly the year of the kings of Rock and Roll – this was when music bloomed with all Elvis Presley's music and hits from the Everly Brothers, Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly (who was living in this year with his Peggy Sue), Ritchie Valens, Jerry Lee Lewis.

Some of the greatest songs of all time were „born“ in 1958 and would have been heard by Michael Jackson in the womb of his mother.

He must have been dancing to these irresistable rhythms coming out of the radio before he ever saw the light of day: Sweet Little Sixteen, Do you Wanna Dance, La Bamba, Good Golly Miss Molly, At the Hop, All I have to do is Dream, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, Rave On, Lollipop, Great Balls of Fire.

Yet tragedy also caused the balls of fire to bring smoke to one's eyes both in 1958 and in 1959.

On 3rd February 1959, an accident occurred in the heavens, a plane carried the three top musicians who had soared to the heights in 1958 plummeting down to their deaths. That

saddest of days was remembered as „the day the music died“ : Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "Big Bopper" Richardson were killed along with the pilot. The arrow pointing at the GC with Saturn had shifted in the last months so that Saturn was now in Capricorn, not a sign of fire like Sagittarius but of leaden earth. Many disasters are associated with this transition over the winter solstice, especially plane crashes like the Lockerbie disaster on the December solstice 1988.

Larger numbers of disasters occurred as Uranus and Neptune moved over this solstice spot into Capricorn in the early 19th century, the three romantic poets died in their youth: John Keats, Shelley and Byron, they were something like pop stars are now. Pluto is now in early Capricorn conjunct the Galactic Centre closer to the winter solstice than it has been in over 25,000 years. This is why the prediction called the Mayan Prophecy suggesting a disastrous end to this age, may be correct. We can probably expect more more early deaths.

1958 was also the year in which another group Michael Jackson revered – the future Beatles – first met up. John Lennon was at art school in Liverpool when he met Paul McCartney and Paul introduced him to George.

„The Quarrey Men,“ three of the future Beatles, first played together and John composed „Love Me Do“ that helped set the Beatles on the path to fame. What hopes we still had back in the 1950s and 60s.

Yet even in 1958 it was not all roses. A number of personal tragedies occurred in the musical world. John Lennon's mother Lucia was struck by a car while crossing the road and killed on July 15th 1958, which haunted John for the rest of his life.

Elvis Presley experienced a similar tragic loss of his mother, also in 1958, just one month later. Gladys Presley, with whom he had an extremely close relationship, died the day after his arrival home in Memphis, on August 14, 1958, from a heart attack. It has been said it was brought on by sorrow over his being away from her, worry at him being in the army and a mix of depression and hepatitis from too much alcohol and diet pills. Presley would, similar to John, see her death as the greatest tragedy in his life.

For Elvis, the seed of his own tragic death was maybe planted here, it was in this year too that an aquaintance in the army introduced him to amphetamines.

Drugs played a major role in the life of Elvis, and Michael Jackson feared that he might end like Elvis. Elvis died at 42 as what was described as a heart attack. Exactly the same headlines swept the news when Michael

Jackson died – claiming he had had a heart attack.

Both deaths were associated with excessive drugs. It is at present difficult to know how much was intention, some say that Michael Jackson had predicted his own death or that it was suicide. Neptune and Saturn can both cause unbearable pains and sorrows. Both Elvis and Michael had a natal Moon in Pisces as well, which sign is also ruled by Neptune: music and drugs are connected through Pisces and these are very sensitive souls.

Let us look at Michael Jackson's natal and progressed chart.Then we may compare it briefly to others born to greatness and often to an early death, who also draw their inspiration from a force that has been a mystery to most of the world for a long time.

Michael Jackson's natal chart shows a kind of arrow pointing at the Galactic Centre and Saturn.

Saturn is often said to represent the father figure, certainly Saturn is stern and usually a Saturnian type has to work hard. Michael has claimed he had no childhood because of the hard work and connected this to his father.

As Sagittarius is the sign most associated with the home and family, even though ironically it also travels far and wide, and is ruled by both Jupiter and the Galactic Centre- Zeus and Hera. Such a person thinks big when he makes plans. His home may be his castle.The destruction of Michael's holy home by those searching for drugs etc was almost like a rape, he felt unable to return to Neverland, it was placed on the market.

Jackson's Sun is in the sign of the Virgin in his natal chart with Pluto, suggesting a strongly female energy, an interest in health and healing, as well as at times a delicate heart and general health. He certainly took great interest in helping sick children.

The sign Leo contains three planets all up at the Midheaven with the Sun, what a powerful heart energy in this chart. Leo is ruled by the Sun both represent the heart and the ability to love, and with Mercury there also, there was of course also a love of children. Venus presence there gives great warmth of heart and strengthens this love.

Yet Uranus also in this sign is often strange and unconventonal in his loves and often disaster comes to those with Uranus in Leo through affairs of the heart, or through the organ of the heart, for Uranus does not fare well in this sign, he has been given rulership of the opposite sign, Aquarius.

As the rather eccentric Uranus is also conjunct Venus, it suggests not only unusual loves but an unusual appearance and style of clothing, one that is not all natural, yet one that is very showy. A number of people who have undergone sex changes from male to female have had this aspect - Uranus has a penchant for copying ideal images.

With the strong Sagittarius and Virgo and most planets on the female west side of the chart ( Cancer to Sagittarius) we have an extremely female nature. Likely this female nurturing instinct was strengthened in reaction to his early father dominated environment in which he missed the nurturing himself and sought to play this parental role better than his parents.

Uranus is accident prone. Leo is a fire sign and Uranus is squaring also the fiery planet Mars in Venusian Taurus7, this played a role in creating his image, for Michael had an accident and received severe burns while on the stage.

Leo is most strongly the sign of the rock and roll star, it was Pluto's transit through Leo in the 50s followed by Uranus that gave birth to so many rock and pop stars. It is of course ruled by a star. Leo loves to be up on the stage playing around, shining and showing off.

7 It is no accidnt that fire played its role

The goddess Venus is up on the midheaven, So Venus conjunct Uranus in Leo takes on extra power. Michael was very interested in his appearance and improving it - the man in the mirror. Yet the idea of the mirror is more Libran (the other Venus sign prominent in his chart, it is also the sign of the other, of partners, and I seem to remember he sang of making a change in 1988, a very changeful year, Uranus was then (with Saturn) conjunct the Galactic Centre. The Libran influence also showed with Jupiter and the North Node rising in Libra that he began singing with his brothers : The Jackson Five. Looking at the ascendant in Libra one sees the North Node of the Moon also called the dragon's head- in India known as Rahu. Rahu is with Jupiter and Neptune and this suggests a kingly musical ability, in the 1940s a conjunction of Neptune and the North Node with an aspect to Jupiter also produced some of our greatest musicians. Sometimes it is thought the North Node is associated with great luck, but this can also switch to great tragedy depending on other aspects.

Jupiter is the planet of kings, in mythology Jupiter as Zeus or Jove was known as the king over all the other planetary gods, the Sun is of course also asssociated with the kingly qualities but to differentiate them, the Sun is not of this Earth he is pure fire, eternally youthful, immortal more a prince of the heavens, of spirit. Jupiter is also fire but a fire associated with the Earth or female element. Michael had both.

Now we know that Jupiter's wife and power behind the throne is the Galactic Centre placed in Sagittarius. So we have Jupiter, planet of kings empowered by his great wife, and Jupiter is close to Michael's ascendant where he has a strong influence. Jupiter is a great actor, he acted many roles in myth taking on the form of bulls, swans and other creatures: he loves the show like Leo.

In Michael's natal chart Jupiter forms a trine to a small body called Chiron in the air sign Aquarius and this creates what I call a bow8 pointing at the other planet I associate with greatness: Saturn. Saturn is however also in the sign of Jupiter – Sagittarius, so doubling the Jupiterian quality.

history, either at birth or by progression or transit at the time they become great. It would be correct to expect that an earthly son of God, a healer-king such as Jesus was supposed to be, would have been born under a Jupiter-Saturn aspect. Michael was in some ways quite close to a modern Jesus figure.

So we see a bow in the chart pointing to Saturn in Jupiter's sign of kingship, the conjunction to Neptune emphasisizes music, so we have the birth of the King of Pop.

Saturn makes life more serious or hard work. Life is for Saturn, especially with the perfectionistic Virgo, a striving for perfection, for completion. Saturn brings difficulties, or lessons to be learned, connected to the father though often a very close relationship to the mother or to older women especially in later years. Saturn may bring illness and pain, and in such an aspect as here shown with the centre of our galaxy, he may bring an early death.

Here just one of many well known names whose lives ended early connected to a Saturn GC aspect: Martin Luther King Jr. Yet he became a legend through his death.

In a sense the life is crowned by the death. Death is the perfection of life – or its coming shows that we have completed what we came here to do. When life is very hard, death may be like a reward earned, like a promised holiday.

Here are the charts of a few comparably early deaths. Here the bow points at Pluto in the eighth house9 at death:

Yet the main reason I am writing this is to introduce the Galactic Centre into the chart.The Galactic Centre is the most powerful force for good or ill on planet Earth and is a female power, perhaps one of the additional reasons for Michael Jackson's gradual transformation.

Aspects involving the Galactic Centre give enormous potential, much greater than the Sun, yet it is not so lucky when too many are pointing at the Galactic Centre and at the winter signs houses and planets, especially when conjunct Saturn. Those influenced by Sagittarius have a fine feeling nature connected to the lunar rhythms.

However as it takes too long to reverse most peoples thinking I have not changed the traditional houses so that the actual eighth house is still shown as the Fifth.

Many have been prophets or gurus. Aleister Crowley associated Sagittarius with the Tarot card „Art“ and to the ability to mix and draw from both sides of ones nature the male and female, lunar and solar. Now we know that this is because the sign Sagittarius is home of the Full Moon (as the Chinese figure shows): the Galactic Centre and the lunar cycles work together. In another article I have also shown how the Nodes of The Moon are also associated to the galactic axis. The bow held by the half beast and half man- centaur was in earlier times in China the bow of the lunar archer pointing his bow when the Moon is full in Sag to shoot down the Sun (Moon opposes Sun when full and the Chinese saw it then as killing the Sun).

Michael was certainly a Sagittarian artist. One could associate Michael's pale skin also with his more lunar nature. He included the Moon in his songs – dont blame it on the moonlight – and ...under the moonlight... In his album and video „Thriller“ of 1982 he reached the top of his career and Thriller became the highest selling album of all time, also the Moonwalkvi, for which Michael Jackson would become famous after performing it in 1983, was first shown on TV by Jeffrey Daniel in „A Night to Remember“ which was eerily the name of a film that came out in 1958 about the sinking of the Titanic.

In 1984 Michael won a record 12 grammies, which is also interesting as grammies were first introduced in 1958 as if just as a forethought of the Galaxy for the musical children, who She knew would go on to earn or pluck them like fruits from Her tree.

Eight of Michael's grammies were for Thriller. That it was the word thriller that gave him his fame connects also to his root or birth year of 1958, for it was then that the king of the thriller genre, Alfred Hitchcock, was producing his best thrillers.

The dark midnight time when the Moon rules most strongly, is also the winter solstice at the end of Sagittarius, where Jupiter's reign is resigned to Saturn's, a very significant time in the yearly and Great Yearly cycle for it is where we are now in Great Year terms, as the winter solstice position begins to align with the Galactic Centre. A dangerous time for all our hearts and for the life-force in general.

The winter solstice position is in daily terms the midnight position, the time translated back into Great Year terms when Jesus as the Son of Man or the Bridegroom will return:

"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' Matthew 25.6

Michael Jackson brings this dark midnight time into his most popular video „Thriller“: its close to midnight...

Indeed it is close to midnight and of course it is close to midnight in a deeper sense - the Great Year midnight is near and true kings are messengers to the people, but that he should have been rewarded with such luck for this musical message we can connect to the bow and arrow in his progressed chart at that time pointing towards the north node in Libra .

Yet the heavenly clock ticked on and success was eventually mixed with difficulties and finally death intervened very early at 50 years.

At age 50 we see some good things in the chart, a bow and arrow up to the midheaven where Venus and the North Node are placed suggests a lot of love from and for the world. However Saturn is never to be underestimated. Michael's Sun although up in the limelight near the midheaven has moved to strengthen the kind of arrow pointing at the Galactic Centre and Saturn, and Saturn is just rising 2° over the ascendant with the GC 2 1/2 degrees to the other side of this important angle. This is an earthquake of an aspect. It reminds me of a similar sudden death I had drawn up for one of the founders of Psychoanalysis, Alfred Adler, who died of a heart attack in Scotland at 67 on a lecture tour.

Weakening to Michael's system occurred over many years though, from the time that Pluto began transiting Saturn and the Galactic Centre. The court case against him began during that transit and was even held in December 2003 as transiting Pluto and the Sun were conjunct the Galactic Centre and Saturn was moving opposite by transit. What made the difference in 2009 was likely that Saturn was closer to the ascendant and the Moon in Saturn's sign was also T squaring the Nodes. Of the disastrous nature of aspects to the Nodes especially the South Node I have written elsewhere: The Galactic Centre and the Nodes of the Moon.

It is interesting that as the news came of his death I had been leaning back and thinking now nothing so bad will hit Los Angeles, as the earthquake danger was receding for a while. Yet that was when transiting Mercury10 squared Saturn. Saturn was transiting not only in square to Michael's Saturn but also in square to Los Angeles' Saturn.

In the chart for the transits of the 25th June 2009, we see Mercury square Saturn in c. 16 ° Virgo this squares both Los Angeles' Saturn and Michael Jackson's Saturn. The transiting Sun (heart) is of course also opposite the GC on the 25th, so not easy on the physical heart for those sensitive, and Mars by transit is in roughly the same position it was in Michael's birth chart in Taurus, here with Venus – square that natal Uranus-Venus in Leo (heart)– so also not good for the heart. It is interesting that the North Node of Los Angeles is in about the same place as Michael's South Node.

Yet even more noticeable in this chart, if compared to Michael's natal and progressed chart, is that Neptune and Jupiter are again in conjunction in 2009 as they were in 1958. In fact there is also a bow and arrow pointing athese transiting bodies from Michael's natal and progressed chart. Especially important is that they form the other end of a bow to the Galactic Centre, with Chiron, that is back in its natal position in Aquarius.

Saturn transiting Virgo, the sign of health, was not good for Michael's health generally but particularly his heart, as his Sun was natally placed in Virgo and then square progressed Saturn on the ascendant. Virgo is ruled by Mercury - a nervous type whose worry easily

causes health problems. Progressed Mercury in Michael's chart was in deadly Scorpio conjunct Neptune, which could have caused misunderstanding or wrong dosasge of medicatioon they were T square transiting nodes in first degrees of Aquarius and Leo. So the transiting square of Mercury to Saturn may have been more negatively involved.The bow created by the the 2009 Neptune and Jupiter transit to the 1958 natal and progressed Neptune Jupiter in Michael's chart rather reminds me of the shocking Tsunami 2004 in which a bow between Neptune and Jupiter also fell close to Indonesia's Neptune Jupiter and created also a bow to the Galactic centre area.

Above you see how the transiting Jupiter and Neptune by the Tsunami 2004 moved over Indonesia' s founding Jupiter Neptune. As Jupiter conjunct Neptune will form a bow to the Gc more exactly this year a tsunami somewhere is extremely likely, especially when the Sun or other body moves through Libra.

if there had been any hope for Michael in this tsunami of the soul, one might have looked to that sometimes lucky North Node for help but by progression and transit on this day the nodes were no help.

Saturn was strongly involved in causing his death but one could also say he merely perfected his life and ensured his immortality, many will earn money on his name.

What about Madonna born so close to the birthdate of Michael Jackson? She too has a bow to Saturn and the GC in Sagittarius, Sagittarius is a sign ruling horses. Saturn can

indicate falls and Madonna has already had two falls from horsesvii. Yet she has no progressed conjunction of Saturn to the ascendant so maybe she will live a long life.

Let us compare Michael's chart with just a few other death dates connected to that eventful period

These often marking like book marks an important event - like the 911 World Trade Centre disaster where the Moon was between Jupiter and Saturn opposite the GC. Here the bow to Saturn c GC made by Venus in Pisces and Neptune in Scorpio as well as the bow to Neptune in Scorpio shows the death of music.

Similar early or tragic deaths I have already mentioned, for instance Jim Morrison born with Sun conjunct the GC and Saturn opposite, who died of a heart attack at 27 in 197111, Jimi Hendrix (prog. Mars and Sun c. GC) also died at 27 in 1970, Janis Joplin (prog. Mars and MC c. GC) also died at 27, both were born close together with some similar aspects and died at about the same time. John Lennon was shot at age 40 with Mars, Neptune aspects to the GC.

Then one could add a lot of heroes and tragic youthful deaths less related to music but also connected to the GC and often to Saturn, like Che Guevara shot at 39 (Saturn c. GC natally and Mars conjunct these by transit at death, then the actress Grace Kelly (Saturn conjunct GC) who died in a car accident, whose son Albert, is the present Prince of Monaco and was born also in 1958, the year Charles was also made Prince of Wales).

One could mention Jean-Francois Champollion who was a genius who died at 28 having deciphered the Egyptian hieroglyphs (natal Sun, Venus, Mercury c. GC T square Saturn and Jupiter, a grand cross to GC both at birth and at death).

Martin Luther King was shot ( chart already shown on page 16). Thomas Chatterton the Romantic poet died at 18 half starved and then poisoned himself (Saturn, Sun, Pluto,conjunct GC) the Romantics loved this heroic boy and like him many of them also died young.

In summary, one of the most amazing things I find when considering the chart of Michael Jackson and the time of his soul leaving his body is that Jupiter was conjunct Neptune for the birth as also for the death of this king of music and that both times they aspect the Galactic Centre, together forming a bow to that position- spotlight on the Galactic core.

At the beginning of this paper I asked what or who causes our lives to begin or end? The answer I am offering is that these things are connected to a greater plan, a plan that one could associate with a god but also with a forgotten goddess.

I am re-introducing the idea of the Mother Goddess as a galactic power in whose house we live and from whom and to whom we only appear to come and go as the Sun appears to be born and die when it rises and sets- that perhaps is the Mystery- that incarnated life is an illusion.

Death is not the end any more than birth, only at both entry and exit points in the cycle, our memory, that connects us to our greater more godly selves, is lost.

Re-membering our Galactic Mother is a sign of re-connection to who we truly are and leaving her school room on Earth early is only something Her Chosen, most gifted pupils are allowed to do.

iiiHow can such a sacrifice be accepted in our desacralized society? Mary Renault once wrote a book about matriarchal times in the Cretian world „The King Must Die“ In which kings were consciously sacrificed at the end of a year or after a 12 year period, or at every Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. This was a way of ritually attempting to align the individual will to the will of the whole, the king's death was a gift to the people, the crops, the Earth. In later times the King would be replaced by a horse or bull sacrifice. Such a practice is only acceptable in a society that accepts death and is not afraid of it because it connects to something beyond death. As we lost touch with our galactic roots this practice came to seem evil, bloodthirsty and primitive, yet originally one could see it as an act of faith and wisdom- an understanding that the death of the body was not the end but a reconnecting and serving of a greater purpose which gave meaning not just to life but also to death.
