Michael Chuah, born in 1978, Character Designer / Comic Book ArtistMichael Chuah (a.k.a. C2V) graduated from Central Art of Academy (currently known as Intec) major in Graphic Design (Diploma). After working as art director of graphic novel department at the same time a comic book artist for 5 years+. He decided to set up his own studio - “Roots Studio”, currently he’s working on his own project creating character design & comics. His first long comic series “Gengkey” is the first comic in Malaysia that came out with vinyl figure.

He & two of his friends, Lefty & Chin Sau Lim formed The Gilamon studio in 2003. The studio specializes in graphic storytelling, character and graphic design. So far they have come out with a series of mini comics, T-shirts, posters and other merchandises.

Michael’s “Gengkey” has won 2nd prize for Multi-Frame Comic in the 2nd Golden Dragon Award Original Animation & Comic Competition 2005 (OACC) in Beijing. And his first character design book - “Gengkey 100” launched at Malaysia Comic Carnival 2005. This character design book “Gengkey 100 - The Character Guide” is based on characters that appeared in his series comic “Gengkey”, total of 100 characters.

His current project is a character design book entitled “The Never Ending Tales”, scheduled for 2007/2008.
