B1 moved to allow for iron shielding removal. Needs to be reconnected/testd VERY TIGHT SCHEDULE!!!!!!!!
DK Sol Tested at ½ max current (5T) for short period. Need a long test at MAX current w. quench protection systemwhen is it due?
A complete test of the device is needed before commissioning. Should be OK by Sept 09, unless problem arise with long run test

Reference Beam Line – muon (e,P=207 MeV/c)
Beamlines for initial/calibration studies:from (a) with local momentum rescaling of the magnets[ with / without solenoid ] (infact we used the one with no DKsol for the aformentioned reasons)electron (@150 MeV/c) used for TOF calibrationpions (@ 300 MeV/c) 1st muons seen protons (@480 MeV/c) 1st estimate of primary intensity

FermiLab Monitors: confirm locations andreadiness?

Could be useful to determine beam alignment (together with TOF0/1)

Optics: are we ready? (shutdown 17 Aug/1 Sept) 2Sept – 25 Oct
(see later talk for details)
- On Sept 2nd we don’t need a beam matched to … something - We can use optics for =6 mm rad / P=214 MeV/c [STEPII.1] - Rescale it to other momenta to cover STEPI + STEPII.0
- later (towards end of year) we need a properly matched beam for all the config. of STEPII.1 [trk-solenoid + diffuser] matrix completion
- more work needed to tune DS-BL (Q4-9) to match MICE optics
- we may want to test solenoid at B+/-B to increase rate

Summary
- Assume target is working - Assess magnet readiness
- DKsol strongly wanted - 5T to cover up to high P(MAX=240 MeV/c)- if NO DKsol back to situation of ’08
- Optics for STEPI/STEPII.0 should be fine as it is- Ongoing work to complete STEPII.1 matrix- Need to assess detector readiness
- assume TOF0,1 + GVAs + FLMons are in place and alive
