Mi Isla is a work where I question myself on how human body could become and experience the position of a snail. The question is based on how animals, and specifically, this gastropod mollusc exists and perceive the concept of time. During the two-hour performance, I became a snail with the intention to move slower than thoughts, and reach a mental state of timeless. The project was done during my week residence at BRGY. South Kensington, Inventory in London. Throughout the week, my movements were turning slower and slower, reducing my language and thoughts. After each performance, I needed more than two hours to re-establish a level of language and coherence to communicate with people.
