The Master of Health Science in Athletic Training (MHScAT) post-professional degree program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences was designed to meet the needs of the busy Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). By providing the curriculum online, it allows the Athletic Trainer (AT) the ability to further his/her education while still main-taining current employment and personal obligations.

This easily accessible AT focused online program is combined with a five day on-campus residency providing an opportunity for the student to earn a Master’s degree in just under two years. Each trimester consists of 2-3 online classes during which the AT collab-orates with colleagues in an online community with faculty led discussions and activities.Designed specifically for the athletic training professional, the degree coursework focus-es on developing expertise in the field and includes topics in emergency medicine, con-cussion, female athletic injuries and much more. In addition, there is a strong focus on leadership, business skills, problem solving and evidence in decision making all directly related to the profession. These are skills that can immediately benefit the working pro-fessional from the virtual classroom into the real world.

Consider adding this advanced degree for both personal and professional growth within the ever-growing profession of athletic training. Whether out on the sports field every day, involved in the arts, teaching in the schools or providing skills in the training room, this program’s sole focus is on Athletic Training and the tools and knowledge for advance-ment!
