Stage One involves ramp access to the beach for beach cleaning and maintenance vehicles, drainage works, and a link from the Esplanade, Altona to Apex Park and the foreshore. Stage Two involves the realignment of the coastal trail and provides a turning circle at the end of the Esplanade.

Strand Ward Altona North Newport Spotswood South Kingsville WilliamstownVernon StreetThe draft concept plan on improvement works for the South Kingsville shopping strip went to community consultation in March and 12 submissions were received with most of the suggestions being accommodated in the revised plan. $165,000 has been referred in the 2014-2015 draft Capital Works Program to complete the works.

Fearon ReserveThe Lacrosse ground at the southwestern area of Fearon Reserve has deteriorated to the point that the Council has determined the area to be of priority concern. Over the next

the 2014-2015 draft Capital Works Program for the construction of a footpath across Pipeline Reserve. The east-west pathway will provide a more agreeable connection for pedestrians between Point Cook Road and Shane Avenue.

    McCormack Park

Stage Two of the McCormack park upgrade will be commencing in June. This is an exciting prospect, building on the playground renovation already completed in Stage One. The park

will be fitted out with new equipment including a climbing net, spinner, sand pit and digger, landscaped areas and seating.

    National Youth Week

This year, National Youth Week begins on Wednesday, 2nd April with the Inspirational Youth Awards presentation and the launch of the Kool Skools CD. A number of other events will follow and full details are available at the Councils website.

ten weeks we will be performing significant works to the area, returfing, installing new floodlighting, and repairing and upgrading the underground irrigation system. The area will be fenced off so we are speaking to the grounds users about alternative venues. Rabbits have contributed to the deterioration of the turf and parkland so rabbit control works are underway and will finish on Friday, 11th April.

A new-look police force is on the beat following the rst major uniform change in decades.

Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong and Wyndham police switch from the traditional light blue uniform this week to dark salute blue. Other changes include shirt pockets for females and long-sleeved shirts.

Geo Kedge, Westgate Acting Superintendent, which takes in the three municipalities, said the new uniforms had been well received.

is uniform is fresh and modern and will be easily recognisable on the streets of Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong and Wyndham, he said. ere were about 80 di erent ways to wear the uniform, so this change will ensure a more streamlined look for Victoria Police.

e new-look attire marks the rst signi cant change in uniform for more than 30 years. \ BM

residents group rejects mayors super council planMunicipal merger

A Hobsons Bay residents group has rejected calls for its council to merge with Maribyrnong, suggesting instead the annexation of Yarraville.

e Weekly recently reported Maribyrnong mayor Grant Miless personal view that Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong should merge to create one super council as a way of cutting costs and reducing rates.

But Cameron McCurley, co-convener of the Hobsons Bay Residents Association, said the suggestion had been made in the past and would be unacceptable.

Maribyrnongs issues of ageing infrastructure and di culty in generating a viable income, combined with an overall reduction in council funding by state and

federal governments, would no doubt result in increased rates for existing Hobsons Bay ratepayers in the unlikely event of a merger taking place, Mr McCurley said.

Further, such a merger would almost certainly see an overall reduction in the number of councillors, which would impact greatly on councillors ability to provide su cient representation and support to ratepayers.

Mr McCurley said that while Cr Miles ha d residents best interests at heart, a better option would be annexing Yarraville to Hobsons Bay council and the other parts of Maribyrnong to Brimbank and Moonee Ponds.

His comments follow a call by the Maribyrnong Residents Action Group (MRAG) to consider merging Maribyrnong

with neighbouring councils. e group criticised comments by Maribyrnong councillor Michael Clarke in the Weekly last week in which he defended the status quo.

MRAG member Robert Wiatrowski said Cr Clarke appear ed to ignore key objectives

of a council, which included ensuring rates and charges were equitable and resources used e ciently.

[We] would argue that Maribyrnong council fails to meet these basic, critical objectives of

local government, he said. Cr Clarkes claim about reducing the

infrastructure gap is outrageous and not supported by the councils own published nancial data. He said a council sitting on more than $50 million in cash accumulated by overtaxing residents was symptomatic of

an overweight, scally lazy organisation that is not utilising . . . cash resources e ciently or e ectively.

e action group is circulating a petition calling for the amalgamation of Maribyrnong council with neighbouring councils. \

greek ships skipper scuppers bay pollution claimsPORTS

A ships captain has denied union claims that a Greek vessel polluted Hobsons Bay beaches by washing its hatches out into Port Phillip Bay.

Captain George Mylonas has denied claims by the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) that the crew of MV Blue Eternity caused pollution by performing illegal hatch-cleaning just o the Williamstown foreshore.

Asked by the Weekly if the ship had cleaned out its hatch into the bay, Captain Mylonas responded via email: Kindly be advised that our eet trade and operate under all relevant international and local regulations, and there was no pollution.

e Weekly understands from reliable sources that the ships owner is struggling to pay its crew .

ITF Australian representative Matt Purcell expressed fears that Melbournes port environment and beaches could be

polluted because of ship owners failing to pay Australian dockworkers to clean their vessels and properly dispose of waste.

e owners [of Blue Eternity] say that theyre complying with the regulations, but our understanding is, from my witnesses, that there could well have been some spillage of coal dust particles, Mr Purcell said.

A spokesman for Ports Minister David Hodgett said the union should provide evidence of wrongdoing or cease making false accusations. \ GD

car park closure leads to station chaosPUBLIC TRANspORT

Rail commuters who drive to Laverton station say there is chaos as a makeshi car park at a former school site has closed at the same time as new council parking restrictions come into force.

About 500 commuters had parked in the grounds of the former Laverton Primary School before the Education Department barred access at the request of Hobsons Bay council. On Monday last week, the council started putting warnings on illegally parked cars around Laverton station, and motorists will soon be ned for violations.

Sanctuary Lakes resident Nick Michaelides, who drives to the zone 1 station to catch a train to the city to work, said the parking situation was a total shemozzle with about 500 to 600 illegally parked cars on the grass along the train tracks.

e council has erected bollards to stop people parking on the grassland and created permit-only zones for residents.

Hobsons Bay deputy mayor Colleen Gate said the council had argued strongly for the state government to address the parking issue .

A permit trial for 45 spaces began on Monday to ensure our residents are not disadvantaged by commuters who come from outside the municipality.

is will provide some relief for our

residents, but we need assurances from state government that measures will be taken to distribute the parking burden across public transport corridors and reduce tra c congestion in Laverton.

Laverton, Altona Meadows and Seabrook residents may apply for permits to use the

45 spaces. Jess Maguire, a spokeswoman for Public Transport Minister Terry Mulder, said Laverton station had about 950 spaces and also o ered a drop-o zone, seven connecting bus routes and a secure Parkiteer bicycle cage for cyclists. \

hotel demolition a public policy issueWilliamstown residents are rallying in a last-ditch attempt to save a historic hotel from a developers wrecking ball.

Evolve Development plans to demolish the Oriental Hotel (circa 1854) to build a six-storey, 83-dwelling apartment block as part of its much bigger development plans over several blocks of Williamstown.

e dilapidated hotel is Williamstowns second-oldest building and possibly the states rst three-storey brick hotel.

Heritage Victoria (HV) has recommended the building not be included on the state heritage register, with the Heritage Council (HC) to have the nal say. Submissions to the HC close on April 21.

Save Williamstown (SW) is holding a public rally at the hotel on April 13 . SW spokesman Godfrey Moase (pictured) said he believed Evolve could a ord to restore the building and the cost of restoration should not be a factor in the HCs decision.

I think theres a very signi cant public policy issue there for all of Victoria if people [building owners] can just get away with that [not maintaining a historic building].

Evolve managing director Ashley Williams partly blamed the state of the hotel on the long battle with the council.

e Oriental hotel building has been exhibiting signi cant decay and structural deformation for more than 20 years.

e uncertainty, delay and costs of a near 10-year planning process have only added to the pre-existing issues. \

save us from the trucks, residents pleadinner west

Inner-west residents have delivered an impassioned plea for a solution to the truck tra c they say is plaguing their streets.

A document with feedback from the recent Trucks and the Inner West Open House at Maribyrnong council outlines major concerns over air quality, noise and safety.

About 90 people attended the open house, with experts from Maribyrnong council, VicRoads, EPA Victoria and Department of Health discussing issues of air quality, enforcement, land use, noise and the VicRoads truck movement survey. e survey recorded more than 56,000 truck number plates, 6289 hours of video and

1.5 million vehicle movements. e survey results, which will show where trucks are travelling from and to, will be released in May.

Residents at the open house called for better safety, truck curfew enforcement and air quality and noise monitoring.

I love my child and her school [Kingsville Primary School] and I dont want to see any more trucks go through red lights at crossings in school peak times, one parent wrote.

Suggestions for improvements included encouraging greater use of rail, subsidising trucks using City Link and re-routing trucks o Somerville Road in Yarraville and away

from three primary schools.A number of comments related speci cally

to Moore Street, Footscray, the site of a major protest planned for this morning.

e Maribyrnong Truck Action Group protest is expected to feature hundreds of residents lying in the middle of the road in doonas and sleeping bags, joined by comedian

    Rod Quantock.Additional comments are open

food truck plan driven by goodwill

e Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) had crowdfunded $ 96,842 as of Tuesday towards its $100,000 target for a food justice truck.

e truck will deliver discounted food to asylum seekers in Melbournes west who are living on as little as $3 a day and prohibited from seeking work.

To receive the pledged money, the ASRC must reach a $100,000 tipping point in 11 more days , but its ultimate goal is $150,000.

ASRC director of aid Patrick Lawrence said the truck would deliver food to people living on up to 89 per cent of Australias lowest dole payment and even some getting nothing.

Were a local charity, the ASRC for us to get to $100,000 is an extremely positive sign that a lot of people have simply had enough of the way were treating asylum seekers.

People are putting their money where their mouth is and saying we want to actively support them. \

afl support helps skill up at-risk youthAltona

An Altona-based service for at-risk young people says that AFL backing for a grassroots football team will help prevent homelessness.

Latitude: Directions for Young People today celebrates the o cial launch of a venture with Western Bulldogs, and the o cial launch of WynBay Bulldogs, formerly WynBay Power.

WynBay Bulldogs, which plays in the Reclink Australia league, unveiled the teams new colours and guernseys at Whitten Oval in a move that is expected to create stronger pathways to employment and sport.

e Reclink AFL competition supports people with mental health issues, a disability, and those experiencing homelessness, nancial hardship or substance abuse or who have come through the corrections system. It also promotes multicultural harmony through sport.

Latitude manager Rhonda Collins applauded the Western Bulldogs for backing WynBay a team initiative in partnership with Victoria Police and Hobsons Bay and Wyndham youth services.

Having the Bulldogs backing ... its provided uniforms which have always been

a struggle for us because its not a funded program, Ms Collins said. It also provides those opportunities to access things like the responsible serving of alcohol [certi cate ], access to [football ] training that is at a much higher level than what we would normally be able to o er ... so it provides an amazing opportunity for people who have experienced disadvantage.

Its really about trying to develop them, skill them up so that they can move through the team into the broader community, hopefully through employment and training, and, potentially, they can play Saturday footy.

F or Latitude, its been an opportunity to engage with young people at risk of homelessness before they become homeless. \

e state government and opposition are at odds over the funding of bullying programs in Victorian schools.

e stoush came on the heels of the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence last month.

Education Minister Martin Dixon said the governments $4 million Bully Stoppers program ha d prompted thousands of students to pledge to be Bully Stoppers.

And hundreds of thousands of parents, teachers and children have taken on the message of the Bully Stoppers movement make a stand, lend a hand, he said.

Since the Bully Stoppers campaign began, more than 150 schools have received Bully Stoppers grants to run anti-bullying programs.

But Footscray MP Marsha omson said the grants had since dried up, leaving students at risk of bullying and cyberbullying.

Combined with the overall cuts to education, schools will nd it very di cult to build safer, more inclusive schools where

the incidence of bullying is reduced, she said.

Mr Dixon said four in ve Victorian schools had signed up to the governments $10 million eSmart cyber safety initiative.

But Ms omson said the government ha d also stopped funding that program,

which had been run with the Alannah and Madeleine Foundation

to promote online safety for students and help schools combat cyber bullying. e funding for schools to participate in this

program dried up in 2013 and the Napthine government appears not

to care, she said.Kids Helpline general manager Wendy

Protheroe said bullying and cyberbullying were extremely serious issues .

Last year, the most downloaded topics from the Kids Helpline website were cyberbullying and bullying, highlighting the growing demand from children, young people and parents and carers to nd evidence-based support on the issue, she said. \

Grade 6, 5 and 2 pupils, including Cheryl, Tito and Hibak (pictured), joined forces on Monday night in Step Up, a public performance celebrating safety, learning and thoughtfulness. The project involved pupils undertaking weekly dance and drama workshops with 3D Arts Cale and Colette MacLaren, who co-devised the performance with the pupils. The grade 5 and 6 pupils helped run activities with grade 2 pupils to help encourage a positive conversation around issues of bullying and playground safety. \ BM

    new string to long bowYARRAVILLE

A petition containing hundreds of signatures in support of a new high school for the inner-west will go to State Parliament this month.

Community group SKY High has stepped up its decade-long campaign ahead of Novembers state election and presented its petition to Footscray MP Marsha omson and Williamstown MP Wade Noonan.

Labor has vowed to investigate the feasibility of a high school in the Seddon, Kingsville, Yarraville (SKY) area, but the current government argues there is no need for the school, citing Department of Education studies showing su cient capacity at other inner-west schools.

SKY High president Melissa Horne said more than 600 signatures collected during the recent Yarraville Festival demonstrated an enormous level of support for the campaign.

More than 600 local residents signed this petition on just one day, which should be enough to get the Victorian government to sit up and take notice, she said.

We know that our local MPs, Marsha

omson, Wade Noonan and [Greens MP] Colleen Hartland, have been very supportive of SKY High. Weve also had a great commitment by the state Opposition to kick-start the process to nding a solution to this problem.

SKY High accepts that surrounding schools, including Footscray City , Gilmore Girls and Bayside colleges, still have

enough space for new students, but it argues the long lead time and high cost of a new school mean its vital the government begin planning and considering potential sites.

e group says a rapid rise in the number of students at local

primary schools and the expected redevelopment of the former Bradmill

site in Yarraville with more than 1500 new homes will further strengthen its push for a new high school in the area.

Ms Horne said SKY High intend ed to make more of an impact this year in the lead-up to the state election.

e petition is expected to be formally tabled in Parliament in coming weeks. \

VU staff brace for more job lossesOutsourcing protest

More than 170 jobs could go at Victoria University if management goes ahead with plans to outsource services, according to sta .

Speakers at a forum held at the Footscray Park campus last Wednesday outlined a range of concerns over outsourcing, including a reduced service quality and loss of more jobs on top of 400 axed in the past two years.

Senior lecturer Paul Adams (pictured) told the forum the universitys di culty in retaining students would be exacerbated by outsourcing areas such as IT and childcare.

Were really worried about the future of the university, he said. Were worried [outsourcing] could destroy the institution.

Dr Adams, the National Tertiary Education Union VU president, said services crucial to the institution should continue to be run by the university.

He said the management gures on outsourcing tenders understated the likely true cost. Its an ill- thought-out proposal, he said. eres a lack of transparency, a sense of secrecy that things are happening behind closed doors.

Its poor management and were saying stop, think about it, because its so hard to unravel something once its rolled out.

University of Canberra sta member Katie Wilson spoke of a loss of morale at the university following outsourcing there.

VU deputy vice-chancellor Professor Duncan Bentley con rmed further job losses were expected this year and said changes were necessary for the university to be a well-run and e cient organisation that o ers students the best possible experience.

e university is looking at as many ways as possible to improve its e ciency, not simply job losses, he said.

He said the university would consider outsourcing where it could improve services to students and sta and allow focus on the core business of teaching and learning, research and knowledge exchange. \

    wally curran, union iconeulogy

Hundreds of Wally Currans comrades gave the late union leader a send-o at a memorial held at Williamstown Football Club (WFC) last ursday.

Mr Curran, aged 82, died on March 24.He joined the meat workers unions

Victorian branch in 1954 and was state secretary for 24 years, during which time he created a superannuation fund for members.

WFC president and barrister Trevor Monti said that a measure of Mr Currans success was evidenced by the hatred directed towards him by employers. I recall in 1990 being in Wallys o ce when the union was under erce attack from the forces of evil.

Wally had received a letter of demand in respect of a strike and picket line from solicitors to the e ect that he, the union, and all of its members and worldly assets would be lost ... Wallys reply was: Dear Sir, ank you for your letter. Haha. Yours faithfully.

In their eulogy, Mr Currans granddaughters, Lucy and Tia , said that Pop loved Williamstown and we are probably one of the very few people who can proudly say that they are at least fourth generation at

Williamstown North Primary School.Daughter Cindy Curran said her father

was known for being a bit eccentric and his hatred of bosses began at age 14 when he worked at the former woollen mills in Nelson Place. He quite enjoyed telling of the mayhem that was caused by him grabbing a handful of clock cards and clocking them all on. His next job as a painter and docker saw

him taken under the wing of Bill Gerring, the then-president of the Painters and

    Dockers.Victorian ALP Senator Kim Carr

said he once asked the unionist, who helped Paul Keating oust Bob Hawke from the Labor leadership,

how a hot-headed militant who had le school early and never learnt a trade

was able to exert such in uence. He went on to quote Mr Currans answer:I never sought any great riches or a seat

in parliament so I never wanted anything from anybody else, and I was never beholden to any other bastard.

Mr Curran is survived by his partner Kay Morrissey, daughters Lisa and Cindy, and granddaughters Lucy and Tia. \

The slim blonde is delivering a piece to camera when from behind her lurches a snarling clutch of lost souls, blood streaming down their faces, arms outstretched.

You wont nd it on Vanessa OHanlons o cial bio, but this is her secret zombie ick.

Blink and you will miss her appearance in Dead Country a movie far more horrible than horrifying which sank pretty much without trace upon release in 2008.

Confronted with evidence from her undead past, the national weather presenter for ABC News Breakfast is remarkably gracious.

I dont think I ever even saw it, she laughs. Its just a tiny reporter part that someone asked me to do and I agreed to before I realised there would be zombies surrounding me.

While its highly unlikely that shell ever so easily fall into their clutches again, the zombie encounter underscores OHanlons willingness to step out of her comfort zone.

Whether its climbing Mt Kilimanjaro, trekking the Kokoda Track, encountering gorillas in Uganda, travelling solo to Sarajevo, at the gym, or the hands-on renovation of a four-bedroom home in North Melbourne, OHanlon likes to push herself.

She describes her steady ascent from Melton schoolgirl community radio volunteer to one of the national broadcasters more popular faces as one of sheer determination.

is, a er all, is a woman who for years spent much of her working day as a tra c reporter doing live crosses from a helicopter, feeling ever-so-slightly nauseated.

I dont know if you have ever looked down in a chopper, but I used to get a little bit sick, OHanlon admits now.

For seven years, on and o , she reported on and lmed real-time road conditions, tra c congestion and accidents for all major radio and television stations including regular spots on Sunrise and the Channel 10 news. During that time she also worked as a host of Melbourne A er Dark on Mix 101.1 and

managed to complete a bachelor of arts majoring in psychology and public relations.

e legacy of that period is an excellent aerial understanding of Melbourne and the remarkable ability to hear herself think with a dozen people talking in her ear and chopper blades whirring overhead.

In the air, Im like a Melway, but if Im in a car Im geographically challenged. I have to look for landmarks, she con des.

It was no surprise to colleagues when the composed girl in the chopper was head-hunted by the ABC.

For more than ve years now she has been getting up at 3.45am to join Virginia Trioli, Michael Rowland (who succeeded original co-host Barry Cassidy in 2010) and sports presenter Paul Kennedy at the ABCs Southbank Centre, and the programs ratings are building nicely.

Your body clock gets used to it, though it can be hard on a Monday morning because you change your routine on the weekend, OHanlon says.

Her knowledge of her subject is exhaustive. When the ABC rst put the concept to me I went

out and learned every single thing I could about the weather. I spent a lot of time looking at synoptic charts.

I prep everything myself, I research myself, I write, I o en dont read the autocue because the information is already in my head and I read o the maps as well. When people talk about that old-school weather girl stereotype, its disheartening.

No climate change sceptic, she also nds it disappointing that people like Prime Minister Tony Abbott who as opposition leader dismissed climate change as absolute crap make comments that are so blatant.

Everybody is going to live on the edge of having an opinion, but I also think you should take the available information and at least examine it. Just in the time I have been doing the weather, Ive noticed how extreme things have become.

Seeing weather patterns develop genuinely interests her, and OHanlon points to a low in the Coral Sea that she seems to have been talking about for weeks.

It can be a long time from the time we get the information to the time it actually happens and we can get ahead of ourselves out of excitement, but if that goes in as a cyclone into inland areas, it could be good news for farmers. Sometimes people do seem to think you can make it happen. ey want you to say it will rain and then they blame you when it oods.

Most of its in jest, but it is funny.Make it rain: sure, I can do that! en you get the people who want to make sure it wont,

and contact you on social media six months out and say, can you tell me what it is going to be like on such and such a

weekend because Im getting married. Its not just her weather forecasting that provokes

interest.I will meet people sometimes who say they just

tune in to see what I am wearing. Everybody has to say whether they like the cut, the colour.

But as the eldest of ve children, OHanlon is accustomed to robust opinions.

Among the rst students to graduate from the newly built Kurunjang Secondary College in the then semi-rural satellite town of Melton, she recalls it as a very di erent place from the sprawling outer suburb it is today. It was here working in a local record shop and the community radio station upstairs that led her to enrol in the Swinburne radio course and her rst commercial presenting gig on Sun FM in Alice Springs.

I always thought I would work more in music. Its weird nding yourself in a news environment when it all started as a music-driven thing.

OHanlons personal fave is still Bon Jovi perhaps not suited to all tastes but her weather?

family identity, heritage woven into lifes rich tapestryFootscray

Six local women have stitched their stories into a new exhibition at the Footscray Community Arts Centre.

Working with Sydney artist Nelia Justo, the women are sharing their stories of identity and heritage in an exhibition as part of the centres 40th birthday celebrations.

Linkages, Knots and Gra ings features three connected exhibitions: Keloid by Melbourne artist Megan Evans, Trade winds from elsewhere by Justo, and Textile Tales Woven Journeys, which is the outcome of a community arts project developed by Justo in Sydneys western suburbs.

Curated by Carmen Grostal, the exhibition was born from a desire to develop community connection and celebrate womens creativity.

Photographs and text share treasured heirlooms of personal and cultural signi cance from 22 women in Sydneys west as well as six local women: Helen Kassa, Vicki Couzens, Yunuen Prez, Emeretta Cross, Violetta Veliz and Lily Wong.

Justo explains that women are customarily the producers and bearers of textile articles within families, o en passing cherished

articles on through the generations. e wealth of cultural history contained in o en seemingly simple textiles cannot be underestimated and collectively can carry signi cant meaning in a community, she said. ese stories of textile articles holding personal signi cance for the women may in addition hold wider cultural and historical signi cance. eyre at risk of disappearing if

they remain undocumented.Items shared with the artists

include a smocked cotton top, a hand-woven bag and a poncho.

Veliz said she brought the poncho with her when she migrated from Chile. I have it

at home hanging on the sofa and every time I see it I remember my

sisters and brother, my father and the whole country.

Writer Melinda Austen has recorded participants stories as part of the project.

Justo will be holding an artist talk from 2pm-4pm this Saturday during which the local women will share their objects and stories as well as encouraging stories from the audience.

Linkages, Knots and Gra ings opens at 6pm-8pm tomorrow and runs until May 18. \

Built around the turn of the 20th century, this block-fronted Victorian shall be admired not just for its grandeur and preservation, but also for its

land size (more than 1000 square metres) and waterfront position.

Set back behind dense plantings and a large front yard with a decorative brick pathway, the

faade is part of a heritage overlay and directly faces the bay.

A leadlight entry opens to a hallway with skylight, picture rails and high ceilings. Extra wide cornices and rosettes are other architectural staples.

Originally, four huge bedrooms flanked a central hallway, but the house was reconfigured with archways in and between the rooms. One

is now a lounge with Gothic windows flanking a gas log fire beneath a period mantelpiece. Another room has a gas log fire, fitted wardrobe and access to an updated bathroom with clawfoot bath and pedestal basin.

The large and light-filled timber kitchen at the back has cork floors, double-hung windows, a Dishlex dishwasher and a Chef oven cooktop with four gas burners.

A brick-paved side driveway provides off-street parking for up to four cars and links to a large backyard with an open gravel courtyard and outdoor bathroom.

One of the best located properties in the area, its just a stones throw from Williamstown Beach, LA Parker Reserve and the Botanic Gardens. \
