Executive Director’s CornerWith the new year ahead of us, it is a pleasure to
reflect upon the good times we had in our communitylast year. The year ahead brings with it newopportunities to help fellow neighbors in ourcommunity and to support the larger community thatsurrounds us.
Keep an eye on this newsletter as we bring younotice of familiar events and important news, and let usknow if you have an idea for something new andexciting we can plan together. LOOKING FORWARD
We are entering a time oflooking forward as we shop with
the rest of the world sellingmany things. We celebrate the
advent of the Christmas season,we give gifts to celebrate
friendships and we celebrate thebirth of Jesus long ago. Yet, thereal focus is on the New Year,
and the things we plan for in theNew Year. Here are a few things
to plan for:1. We should try to make new
friends.2. Make plans and start getting
together for the things wewant to do.
3. We need to pray more, readour bibles more and go to
church more.4. We need to thank God for his
many blessings.5. We need to share with others
about Jesus. The New Year should be a timeof joy because as Christians weknow that Jesus is our Lord and
all things are working toward hisreturn. Take comfort and joy inthat the big battles have alreadybeen won, for he has given us
eternal life.
