In February 2009, my family went on a vacation to Punta Cancun, Mexico. It was a wonderful retreat for a long weekend and the resort was outstanding.

The resort my family stayed at was called the Dreams Resort & Spa. It is on the farthest tip in Cancun, a peninsula called Punta Cancun. As with all peninsulas, the resort was surrounded by water on three sides!

The Dreams Resort is all-inclusive, and provided many activities. Some of them include:

At the Dreams, there is a dolphin cove. You can swim with, play and feed the dolphins at your convenience!

For the outdoor lovers, the resort has a plethora of natural environments for exotic animals. Guided tours are available, or you can search on your own!

The nightlife in Cancun is very lively. There are many places you can dine, and several clubs that seem to be popular with the rowdies. Shopping is very prevalent as well.

One night while in Cancun, my family went on a pirate dinner cruise. It was so exciting, and part of the show included two boats coming together and pirates sword fighting!

on the tip of the peninsula. This is used for parties, photo settings, and weddings.

While the activities at the resort are fun, my favorite one is just relaxing by the beach. What a great vacation!
