EXHIBITOR BROCHURE

A is for accessibilityIt’s also for Amsterdam – the perfect city for a high

profile exhibition. The city is easy to reach by air from

anywhere in the world and it is well connected by road

and rail to other European cities and countries. The

spacious and centrally located Amsterdam RAI halls are

ideal for METS and are purpose-built for exhibitions and

congresses. A streamlined exhibition to make set-up and

dismantling easier for exhibitors and to ensure free flow

for visitors around the show.

B is for B2BIt’s also for buyers – the key decision makers that will

make their way to your stand. We consistently deliver

a highly targeted audience of potential buyers direct to

you because we market METS year-round to the global

marine leisure industry. METS is strictly trade-only, strictly

business-to-business; it’s professionally organised – for

professionals.

C is for communityIt’s also for commitment – the commitment that sees a

high number of greatly valued exhibitors and visitors

return to METS year on year. Loyal attendees return not

only to see the latest products but also to meet up with

industry friends and be part of the METS community.

It’s an extremely sociable exhibition and everyone is

welcome to join in. METS is more than a trade show –

it’s a total event.

STANDING OUT FROM THE CROWDMETS is unique. Not only is it the world’s biggest and best attended marine equipment trade show but

it’s truly global, highly professional and a firm fixture on the annual agenda for industry greats and global

brands. We make it easy to exhibit and easy to visit, and the benefits are as fundamental as ABC!

Meet the pressMembers of the international trade and general boating

press are out in force during METS looking to scoop

stories on the latest innovations and give you valuable

extra publicity. Our press office accommodates about

150 journalists each year.

Innovation in designThe DAME (Design Award METS), which celebrated its

20th anniversary in 2010, is the world’s most coveted

and prestigious prize for product innovation in the

leisure marine field.

Over the past twenty years, an independent jury has

judged several thousand pace-setting products in

specific marine categories. All products entered must

be displayed at METS/SYP and are put on show in the

special DAME Pavilion. The DAME awards are presented

at the annual Breakfast Briefing, an event held for

exhibitors and special guests before show opening time

on the first morning of METS.

Participation is highly competitive

but the winner receives great rewards.

Christiaan Maras, marketing director

EMA for FLIR Systems – winner of

the DAME in 2009 – described the

accolade as a ‘tremendous boost’

to the company’s participation at METS.

“Not only did we attract a lot more visitors but the

international press also easily found its way to our

booth. After the show, we had a lot of press coverage

worldwide in all important maritime magazines. The

DAME Award helped us enormously to put our new

M-Series thermal imaging camera in the market

worldwide,” he said.

Superyacht platformThe SuperYacht Pavilion (SYP) at METS is the leading

international trade-only equipment and services

platform for the large luxury yacht market. With

its own hall and its own catering and stand design

arrangements, it has all the independence of a show-

within-a-show whilst enjoying the benefits of being

part of METS. The SYP attracts a high level of visitor

attendance from vessel designers, builders and

superyacht captains, some of whom also take part in the

associated three-day Global Superyacht Forum (GSF), the

leading conference organised

by The Yacht Report Group.

Exhibiting within the SYP is a

cost- and time-efficient way to

promote your company to a relevant, targeted market.
