This booklet presents the outcomes of a seminar at KIT, where students detected, studied, and drew different layers of the contemporary city landscapes of Tehran. Among the subjects considered were spatially characteristic struc- tures recognizable in the cityscape such as the Qanats, his- toric development, typical residential and public spaces of the metropolis but also that what happens behind the façades and between the buildings, namely cultural and daily life. Nevertheless, these contributions are likely to promote interest in Tehran, to stimulate closer acquaintance with the city, its history, its outline and perspectives, and to pursue further tours of discovery.
