Nakayashu memiliki persamaan sebagai berikut

dengan :

Q p = debit puncak banjir

A = luas DAS (km2)

Re = curah hujan efektif (mm)

Tp = waktu dari permulaan banjir sampai puncak hidrograf banjir (jam)

T0,3 = waktu dari puncak banjir sampai 0,3 kali debit puncak banjir (jam)

tg = waktu konsentrasi

Tr = satuan waktu dari curah hujan (jam)

∝ = kefisien karakteristik DAS

L = panjang sungai utama (km)
