Methods to Jumpstart Your Professional Dreams

When it comes to pursuing your dreams, there are several methods by which you can launch from the foundation you have built.

For one, it is reasonable to seek adequate counsel.

Just as a financial advisor can find the right advice from a seasoned finance industry recruiter on the next step in his or her career path, many have found the assistance they needed in the following examples.

Create a Plan to Continue Learning

Ray Zuppa is one of the premier RICO attorneys in the state of New York.

However, while he has ascended to the height of his profession with an office that overlooks the opposite side of Garden City's Stewart Avenue, his life had not always gone in this direction.

During college, Mr. Zuppa was a star athlete on the Arizona State University football team.

However, that dream was derailed by a crushing injury.

In the course of re-evaluating his path, he was offered a role in the 1998 Julia Roberts film, "Mystic Pizza."

He would have likely cruised to super stardom with a film career, but his thirst for knowledge led him to find out just how much injustice the accused suffer when brought under RICO charges (frozen assets make it prohibitive for them to defend themselves),

and knew that he could be part of a solution beyond merely entertaining people. And he is.

Find a Need and Fill it

There are plenty of examples where seemingly needless businesses have soared and made billionaires out of allowing young people to photograph their food and post it for everyone to see,

but the truth is that while these 1-in-a-million shots can hit the mark, there is much more success to be found in filling a need many people genuinely have.

Examples include Uber, which allows people who want to earn extra money on a flexible schedule the ability to work on their own time, Facebook, which has contributed to a greater sense of community for people who live far from loved ones -

and Dave Ramsey, who has brought common sense to personal finance through his radio show (3rd largest program behind Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity).

In the world of investing, those in finance who create funds that create 8-10% returns over the course of 50+ years fulfill a need that serves their entire client base well, and the payoff comes in money, reputation, and an ongoing legacy.

Focus on Your Strengths

Lastly, one must focus on his or her strengths. Nowhere was this more evident than in the example of Lincoln Hoppe. From 2007-2009, Lincoln Hoppe put his acting career on hold to go into finance.

Being brilliantly talented in one field while holding a keen interest in another, he believed he could make a bigger mark by changing the course of his professional path. The results, though, were missed roles -

including one in "Inception," which went on to be one of the biggest box office hits of all time.

By following these methods of always being willing to learn, filling a need, and focusing on your strengths, you can jumpstart your professional dreams!
