Messiah and the Ark 8-12-17 Published by Sowing the Word of God 1 John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. Luke 11:9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Genesis 6:16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. In the verses above we can see the first comparison between the Ark and the Messiah. A door was placed in the side of the Ark and sealed to save Noah and his family. The Messiah is the door and those that enter through him will be saved.

Theword“side”,inGenesis6:16,istsadinHebrewandismadeupoftwoletters.Thetsadeandthedalet.InHebreweachletterhasameaning.DesireTsade= צDoorDalet= דItisimportanttonotethatYHVH’sWordiscalledDabarinHebrew.Door=Daletּדְ House=Betבַ HighMost=ReyshרHisWordistheDoortotheHouseoftheMostHigh.Ourdesireforthisdoorleadsustosalvation.John1:14AndtheWordbecamefleshanddweltamongus,andwebeheldHisglory,thegloryasoftheonlybegottenoftheFather,fullofgraceandtruth.WecanseethattheDooristheWordandtheWordinthefleshistheMessiah.Intheversesbelowtakenotethattheword“side”isthesameHebrewwordinGenesis6:16.Exodus25:32Andsixbranchesshallcomeoutofitssides:threebranchesofthelampstandoutofoneside,andthreebranchesofthelampstandoutoftheotherside.

ThereisafascinatingstudyonhowthiscenterrodrepresentstheMessiahandthisrodlightsalltheotherbranches.Wealsocannotethatthenumber4isconnectedtotheMessiahinitsrepresentationofauthority.Itisalsothe4thpositionintheMenorah.Forthepurposeofthisstudywewillfocusonthefactthatalltheotherbranchescomeoutofthe“side”ofthecenterbranch.WeseethepictureoftheMenorahinNoah’sarkwiththedoorasthecenterbranchandthethreelevelsofthearkoneachside.Deuteronomy31:26TakethisbookoftheLaw(Torah/Word)anyoushallputitinthesideofthearkofthecovenantofYehovahyourGod.Thisversealsousestheword“side”.WecanseethattheWordistobeinthe“side”oftheArkoftheCovenant.Thisisagreatcomparison.InNoah’sarkthedoor,whichrepresentstheWordandMessiah,isplacedinthe“side”oftheark.NowweseetheWordofYHVHistobeplacedinthe“side”oftheArkoftheCovenant.WecanseethepictureofsalvationinNoah’sark,YHVH’sWord,andtheMessiah.ThisWordplacedinthe“side”ofthearkisLife.Deuteronomy32:45MosesfinishedspeakingallthesewordstoallIsrael,46andhesaidtothem:“SetyourheartsonallthewordswhichItestifyamongyoutoday,whichyoushallcommandyourchildrentobecarefultoobserve—allthewordsofthislaw.47Foritisnotafutilethingforyou,becauseitisyourlife,andbythiswordyoushallprolongyourdaysinthelandwhichyoucrossovertheJordantopossess.”John6:63ItistheSpiritwhogiveslife;thefleshprofitsnothing.ThewordsthatIspeaktoyouarespirit,andtheyarelife.Proverbs13:14Thelawofthewiseisafountainoflife,Toturnoneawayfromthesnaresofdeath.
