Message from the Principal * Robyn Corbett * 10 March 2020 e g o r r Obstathon The school Obstathon provides an opportunity for students in Years 5 & 6 to showcase their leadership and organisaonal capabilies. Once again we had a very interesng course and as a result of our students efforts we now have $2429.35 to spend on school projects or events chosen by the students. A special menon of students who raised over $50. P/1 Brodie, Maya 1/2 Kayd, Henry, Liam, Jaxon 3/4 Annikah, Sophie, 5/6 Nakya, Carolise, Seth R-C, Grace, Ashley Highest Fund Raiser : Nakaya Thank you to all the parents who supported their children, and many accolades to Mrs Rooke and her class. It was an amazing effort. Our younger students will run a shorter course to help prepare them for Cross Country events in the years ahead. We are looking for a team of parent volunteers on the day. Our year 5 & 6 students are currently on camp. We thank the

Kieran Fuller, Justin Porta and Dave Anderson for volunteering

to help out on the camp. Mrs Rooke and Mrs Trevor will also

be putting in many hours of their own time assisting our

We’d love you to donate home baking: cakes, slices, fudge —whatever your specialty may be for our stall being held on election day. Thank you to Aloomba local Pat Townson who has offered to bake biscuits for us. Jodie Butler has kindly offered to co-ordinate this event. We need every family to help contribute to our prize

pool. All you have to do is buy six items exactly the

same eg. Six pens, six packets of seeds, six drinks, six

glasses, six chocolates, six hats. Please leave in the

basket outside the office.

The P & C have been very generous in supporting

camp fees for our four student leaders. They came

back full of enthusiasm and look forward to sharing

their new found knowledge with others.

During the camp they learnt more about public

speaking, and being a good role model through

involvement in many group challenges. They also

learnt about using their initiative to make a

difference for others.

This year they will be organising four action plans.

1. Lids for Kids

2. Crazy Hair Day raising funds for people with

Dementia

3. Super Hero Day raising funds for people living

with Cerebral Palsy

4. Obstathon—Student Fund Raiser

Uniform Shop—change of hours

The Uniform Shop will now be open from 8.00am—

8.45 am every Tuesday. Narelle Henderson and

Rebecca Taylor are only too happy to help you with

your uniform needs. We thank them for volunteering

every Tuesday morning for this service to the school.
