Students who received the medal of merit from First Year :
Universities and colleges are doing the noble work of empowering individuals thereby building great
society and nation for years. They have played an instrumental role in boosting India’s GDP growth by
creating knowledge workers through formal education. Colleges and University endeavour into formal
education which prepares a candidate on fundamentals of the subject matter like technology, engineering
or finance. As new technologies are coming up, old ones are becoming obsolete at a faster pace and the
time available to learn these new technologies and become industry-ready is very short. Keeping in mind
the above facts, SEED IT Idol TEST is arranged in association with Mumbai University for the colleges in
Mumbai.

Ek baap ki kahani
Ye baat tabki hai jab duniya mere liye soi hui thi…
Nanhe se sharir par kapde pehenata tha vo..
Tyohar ki samaj na thi,
fir bhi mere saath manata tha vo..
Ghar me khaane ki taklif thi,
Par FD me paise jod raha tha...
Uske sapne adhure the,
par mere liye bunn raha tha...
Yeh baat tabki hai jab duniya mere liye soi hui thi..
Waqt kaata, saal kaata,
tab bhi sab anjaan tha..
Lekin me fir bhi uski jaan tha..
Bistar ko Gila karna,
ya raato ko rona tha..
Ek baap hi tha,
jisse chhina maine sona tha..
Kabhi khud se pareshan,
kabhi duniya ka sataya tha,
Ek baap hi tha,
jisne mujhe rote hue hasaya tha..
Shabdo aur alfaazo se to Gunga tha me,
Par Vo mere ishare samaj jaata,
Iss baat se hairaan tha me,
Ki vo mujhe kaise padh paata?
Me bhi ab uske laad pyaar me dhalne laga tha,
Ghar se nikalte uske kadmo pe nazar rakhne laga tha...
Darwaze ki chokhat ko taakta rehta,
Hoti thi dastak,
Aur walker se jhaakta rehta..
Vo Bachpan ab shayad so chuka tha,
Me jawaani ki dehliz pe ab kadam rakhne laga tha..
Ussi kurbaani ko uska farz samajne laga tha..
Vo bachpan tha jo guzar gaya,
Vo rishta tha jo sikud gaya..
Me uss kurbaani ke boj ko utha na paya,
Isiliye usse seher me kahi durr chod aaya...
Naye seher ki hava muj par chadne lagi thi..
Baap ki har nasihat,
mujhe bachpana lagne lagi thi...
Ab gadi ka kaata fir palat chuka tha,
Kal tak me kisi ka beta tha,
Aaj baap bann chuka tha..
Ab mujhme ek jazbaat umadne laga tha,
Kal kya guzri hogi mere baap par ye samajne laga tha...
Abhi bhi waqt bacha tumhare paas kuch khaas hai,
Tabtak, jabtak baap ka saaya tumhare saath hai...
Sab gille shikhwe bhulakar,
gale se laga lena..
Kyuki,
Kal jo uska tha,
Kal shayadd vo tumhara hoga,
Aaj to baap hai,
kal shayad saath na hoga... -By Jinang Vora

“Quiet diplomacy is far more effective than public posturing.”
Alumni Interaction
“All is Well”
Kapil Trivedi is a VESIT alumni who graduated in the
year 2018. Kapil was the president of the student council.
Kapil was a part of the team that represented VESIT at
Smart India Hackathon. He was an exemplary student and
participated in various co-curricular and extracurricular
activities. Kapil was at the helm of the VESIT admissions
team. He was one of the people who got selected from the
campus and is now working in General Mills.
How was your time at VESIT? Do you have any vivid memories while you were at VESIT
In one word it was awesome. The best moment was when we got selected for Smart India
hackathon 2018. We had worked hard for 2 years which finally bore fruit.
The decision of starting your career after MCA rather than after Bachelor Degree, spend the whole 3
years for study again for master’s. Was the decision right?
Opting for either options is based on situations and circumstances. I would say I was lucky to have
supportive parents who let me choose MCA and supported me in my journey.
Why to choose VESIT for post graduation, What are the things or features you takes into
consideration while taking admission in this college?
I had a few things in my mind when I was looking at a college for MCA in Mumbai like Fee
Structure, Placements, Infrastructure, Travelling and Student Reviews. VESIT seemed perfect
How did it feel like coming in on the first day and leaving on the last day at VESIT?
I feel like it was just yesterday when I first came to VESIT. I remember it was awkward introduc-
ing myself to everyone. Last day everyone was happy that we finally completed MCA and most of
us have campus placement with us.
How much and with what would you credit VESIT for where you are now professionally?
Without VESIT I would not have been able to meet some of the awesome teachers and seniors and
staff. I have learned a lot from all of them. Because of VESIT I was able to participate in Smart
India Hackathon (SIH) and Work on the admission micro website. The skills I gained while
working in SIH and Admission Team helped me in my interview.
How was your experience while working as one of the team lead in admission committee as well as
President of Student Council .
It was an amazing experience and helped me shape what I'm today.
Should academics be the only focus of postgraduate students?
No, it would be one of the Major Focus because your Grades/CGPA affect the number of
opportunities you get.
By Ritik Verma & Yamini Agrawal
12 “Kyon na main kshan kshan ko jioon! Kan-kan mein bikhare saundarya ko pioon! ”
What suggestions would you give on how to face campus placements?
Make a crisp and compelling resume also don't lie.
Prepare for aptitude round and Coding Challenges.
Prepare the basic and common questions.
To crack interview in company such as General Mills, what is the USP which you need to share with
your VESITians?
I would just like to say that know the basics, express yourself, be updated on technology and build
your own projects which will be helpful.
What are your plans for the future?
Short Term Plan: Be a SRE/DevOps Engineer.
Long Term Plan: Complete Doctorate.
What recommendations do you have for first year students and final year students?
FY: I would like to say that you have just started MCA pick a technology and master it.
TY: Corporate Jobs is a different Ball Game.
Any words of wisdom for your juniors
Learn to code because now is your chance if you don't know how to code. The learning process is end-
less.
