Mesoamerican Agroenvironmental Program MAP Norway MAP Norway is a platform that links research, education and development to meet the urgent needs of thousands of rural Central American families, promoting the climate-smart territory approach (CST). The Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) is a regional center dedicated to research and graduate education in agriculture, and the management, conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. ¿What are climate-smart territories?
Climate-smart territories (CST) are envisioned as social and geographic spaces where the actors collaboratively manage ecosystem services to equitably improve the well-being of the population, continuously optimizing land use and climate-change mitigation and adaptation.
Where do we work?
We operate in the central region of Nicaragua and in Trifinio, the cross-border area of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.
