WHAT IS MESHSPAN?
Long Distance Outdoor Mesh MeshSpan nodes, located several
kilometers apart, link up to form a mesh backhaul network.
Each MeshSpan node consists of several Compex MeshPods (MPJ72) interconnected through Ethernet switches, mounted on the pole and installed on high-rise buildings and towers.

No reboot if no Controller
In a standard network setup the MPs and MPod will check-in once every 5 minutes to the controller.
If it fails to check-in it could mean device has lost the connection and will automatically reboot to recover. This can cause a network disconnection.
To disable the automatic reboot action for all the MPs and MPods, add a tick in the box.
If you do not use a controller to manage your network, you must add a tick in this box and all MPs and MPods will stop the automatic reboot. The MeshPoint meant to be a gateway would need to be configured too.

Transmit Power
Allows you to adjust all MPs coverage radio to this transmit power value.
Adjustment is in steps of 1dBM lower from maximum power. * Note: For Single Radio MeshPoint, changing the coverage transmit
power also change the backhaul transmit power.
Advanced Configurations
![Page 29: Mesh Training](https://reader030.fdocuments.net/reader030/viewer/2022013115/5581ec1fd8b42a67508b4996/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
SSH password
Entering a new password will change the SSH password of all MPs and MPods to this new password.

Freeze Firmware
When the box is ticked, all MPs automatic firmware update will be disabled.
When the box is not ticked, all MPs can do automatic firmware update when a new firmware file is found in the path set in the Firmware Server box.
Advanced Configurations

Channel Spectrum Bandwidth
Allows you to select the 11n channel transmission width for this MP between the normal 20MHz or 20/40MHz (channel bonding).
Options are: 11ng20, 11na20, 11na, 11ng, Use Network Setting. 11ng20 selects 2.4GHz band for 11n with 20MHz channel width. 11ng selects 2.4GHz band for 11n with 20/40MHz channel width. 11na20 selects 5GHz band for 11n with 20MHz channel width. 11na selects 5GHz band for 11n with 20/40MHz channel width.
Advanced Configurations

Coverage Channel
This setting allows you to select a different coverage channel to avoid using same or overlapping channel with nearby MPs.
Non-overlapping channels for 2.4GHz band are Channel1, Channel 6 and Channel 11.
To select, click on the channel number, range 1 to 11 or 1 to 13, depending on the country set selected.
When Auto is selected, the channel is automatically selected during the initial power up sequence.
* Note: For Single Radio MeshPoint, there is no Auto selection.
