World Environment Day Celebration

On World Environment Day which is observed on 5

th June 2017, team members from

The Oberoi Amarvilas and Trident Agra did a green march from the gate of The Oberoi

Amarvilas till Taj Nature walk. Team members held banners & wore green T- shirts to

spread awareness about the world environment day and also the importance of trees in

environment conservation. Team members planted saplings in the preserved forest land in

collaboration with the forest department. We planted over 25 saplings.

In the afternoon a movie screening of The 11th

Hour was done for team members to

spread awareness about Global warning.

CELEBRATION OF 20th HAI WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 5TH JUNE 2017 TRIDENT AGRA

To commemorate the World Environment Day with an endeavour to promote

a healthier and green environment, Team Trident, Agra enthusiastically participated in related activities .The Hotel started the day by giving badges of

World Environment Day to all Associates on their arrival at the staff entrance

for creating an environment conducive to the World Environment Day.

Hotel Associates participated in the “Green Walk” along with Associates from The Oberoi, Amarvilas. At 0730 hours, both teams jointly participated in

a green drive from The Oberoi, Amarvilas till the “Taj Nature walk”. Led by

their respective managers both teams came forward for a sapling plantation

drive along with local police authorities.

Later in the afternoon the following Events were organized at Trident Agra:-

Think Green Capture Nature: All departments were asked to click 2

photographs each, in relation to the NATURE, within the Hotel .The best photograph was awarded a beautiful money plant.

TRASH to TREASURE: Two Associates from each of the hotel

departments participated in this event. Associates were required to turn

waste material into useable products of their choice. All the material was provided by Human Resources (HR) Department. The girls from an

NGO Divya Prabha were also invited to participate in the event. The

best product was awarded with the Green hamper. All participants were

giftes a pocket diary made out of waste paper as token of remembrance of World Environment Day

At the end, Team HR went to the premises of Divya Prabha(NGO) for sapling

plantation and educating them to take care of it for a healthier and green environment.

World Environment Day

05th June 2017 Trident Cochin

Trident Cochin celebrated the World Environment Day through activities and initiatives

that involved the local community and the hotel team.

Sapling plantation – Local community

Our team visited the houses, office complexes and commercial establishments around the

hotel along with saplings which were planted together by the team and the locals.

A total 30 saplings were planted as part of this initiative and a pledge was taken to look

after them.

Educational visit and sapling plantation – Local government school

Hotel team visited the local government school and held an interactive session with the

students on the efforts required from all responsible citizens to protect our environment

by reducing the carbon footprint. Discussions were held on small contributions which can

be made in this regard and how each household and local community can make a

difference. Saplings were planted by students and the hotel team together.

Green Lunch

‘Green lunch’ was organized in the team cafeteria where food did not require any

cooking and hence no fuel was consumed. Items such as salads, fruits, cold sandwiches,

sprouts etc. were organized. Team welfare committee took a pledge of organizing ‘Green

lunch’ once every month from now onwards.

Quiz Competition

An inter-house quiz competition was organized for the team on the theme of World

Environment Day. Questions were aimed at spreading awareness about environmental

pollutants and steps to curb them, international initiatives on protecting the environment

and Clean Energy practices.
