Objectives:Join former headteacher Dick Moore, mental health ambassador Pooky Knightsmith, and a mix of ambitious schools, pioneering teachers, educationalists and mental health experts to discuss practical ideas and strategies to support students and to remove barriers to learning.

This one-day conference will provide you with:

• A morning keynote session which will identify many of the mental and emotional health diffi culties faced by young people, suggest strategies to help teachers and schools make a real difference and discuss the 10 signs of a mentally healthy school

• An afternoon keynote session which will focus on developing resilience and coping skills in students and offer whole-school advice focused on effective PSHE and supporting good mental health

• Interactive workshops offering practical approaches, preventative measures and deliverable solutions

• A forum to meet, network and share ideas with colleagues from other schools

• Practical ideas, information and guidance that you can take away and implement immediately

• Details on current thinking and best practice including:

1 Helping schools set up and deliver whole-school preventative approaches

2 Ensuring your interventions and reactive work are effective

3 Strategies for good mental health, early addressing of problems and tackling these appropriately

3 Written cancellations received six weeks prior to the conference will be accepted and a refund less a 10% administration fee will be made. After this date, no refunds can be given.
