Arlington, TN is a small town that is
rapidly growing and located about 35
minutes East of Memphis. In fact, after the
2010 census it was reported that
Arlington was one of the fastest growing
communities in the entire state of
Tennessee. The small town feel, good
schools and affordable housing are just a
few reasons why Arlington has become so
desirable. Also, if you work downtown, the
commute is definitely bearable, as traffic
in Memphis is not as congested as other major cities, even during rush hour.

code is so desirable, home prices here have shot up. In fact, homes for sale in in Germantown carry an
average price tag just north of $400,000. If you’re looking for a luxury home in Memphis, then this
area and Collierville, TN will probably be your first two stops.

Hickory Withe is located about 35 minutes east of
Memphis and is bordered by other popular areas of
Lakeland, Arlington and Oakland. This small town of
about 3,000 people was established in 1834 and has
primarily focused on agriculture for most of it’s

as many of the homes are located on massive lots. Because Hickory Withe has just recently begun to see
more attention, the majority of the homes here are more established, but if you prefer newer homes, there
are still quite a few newer properties to choose from.

13,000 and counting as it is one of the faster growing
suburbs of Memphis. The city is aptly named after
beautiful Garner Lake, which is the largest in the
Memphis area. Although it has seen tremendous

Because of it’s desirability, Lakeland, TN has one of the higher average home sales price in all of Shelby
County. Currently with an average price in the mid $200K’s, only Germantown, Collierville and Hickory Withe
have a higher median price point for home buyers. Because of it’s recent growth, you can expect to find the
majority of homes in Lakeland to be fairly newer and very few if any condos or townhomes. The style homes
here for the most part is traditional, with some of the more luxurious homes adopting European and
Craftsman characteristics.
Some of the top neighborhoods in Lakeland include Bentbrook Hills, East Shores, Creekside Manor, Herons

Here you will find some of the most beautifully crafted historic homes that Memphis has to offer. Many of
these have been impeccably restored with the addition of all the modern and luxury conveniences. However,
if you prefer to find a deal and don’t mind a little sweat equity, then there are still quite a few homes in
Midtown that once renovated could provide nice returns. Because of this, you can find homes below
$100,000 to just over $1 million.

character if that is your preference. If you would like more low maintenance living, currently the only real
option for this is The Estates and Villas at Fair Oaks.

the Redbirds is located here as well. They play at AutoZone Park in downtown Memphis,
