Your body isnt the only thing

    that needs a workoutyour

brain needs stimulation to stay in

    peak shape. This Oz-approved

    game works to improve your

    memory. Studies have shown

    that keeping your brain

challenged and engaged canactually help to prevent

    Alzheimers disease.

In psychology, memory is the process in which

information is encoded, stored, and retrieved.

Encoding allows information that is from the

outside world to reach our senses in the forms of

chemical and physical stimuli. In this first stage we

must change the information so that we may put

the memory into the encoding process. Storage is

the second memory stage or process. This entailsthat we maintain information over periods of time.

Finally the third process is the retrieval of

information that we have stored. We must locate it

and return it to our consciousness. Some retrieval

attempts may be effortless due to the type of

    information.

From an information processing perspective there are three main stages in the formati

    memory:

Encoding or registration: receiving, processing and combining of received information

Storage: creation of a permanent record of the encoded information

Retrieval, recall or recollection: calling back the stored information in response to som

    or activity

The loss of memory is described as forgetfulness, or as a medical disorder, amnesia.

It is highly unfortunate on the part of human race that they are unable to recognize their hidden potential. They are

only using one out of lakh part of their capabilities and even by using this very part, they are today counted in the list

of highly sage people, says Swami Vivekananda.

The invaluable gift Brain is given by God to us, but we are ignorant to use the capacities of the brain effectively. Self-

restraint is the key to achieve strong Memory Power.

There is no limit to the power of the human mind. The more concentrated it is, the more power is brought to bear on

one point, thats the secret. You will learn from this Article to make the effective use of your God gifted equipments.

The need of the hour is to recognize our unused and hidden capabilities. And this Article would prove highly

beneficial for recognizing yourself. You would derive vedic and scientific sutras that help you a lot in achieving your

lofty goals. With this Article you would get a direction that, in turn, help you to excel in every field of life.

The most preponderant power of the brain is concentration power. If you have strong concentration power then not

only temporal, you can achieve what is eternal. This power is based upon the power of thoughts which is also called

our belief system. You can make every impossible possible by strengthening your belief system.

The most eminent scientist Albert Einstein, was very weak in academics during his childhood. He was even expelled

from school due to lack of verbal skills. But he made his name all over the world by discovering the theory of relativity.

He did so by learning the sutras of Indian Vedas and shastras and thus enhancing his concentration and

observation power. According to our Vedas, memory is a vriti (Impression) and deeper this impression is, the stronger

    will be our retention.

Our brain is divided into two parts- left brain and right brain. These parts of the brain are sub-divided by a wall of fibers

    called as corpus callosum.

There are innumerable brain cells called neurons in our brain. We have a very complex nexus of neuron networks.

    Our Conscious and Subconscious brain

    About conscious brain

It is active every time when we are thinking, walking and eating.

It deals with the working of our left brain.

    About Sub-conscious brain

It is the most powerful part of the brain that has been storing all kind of information since the day we were

born. It even stores the information that we are not consciously aware of. I t works under self-hypnosis.

This brain is capableto do anything for us. We can easily call it Alladin Ka Chirag.

This brain stores all the information in terms of pictures.

It is very vast repository of images.

It has photographic memory. It can easily recall the images.

It deals with our imagination power. The most seminal point is to nurture it.

It can be nurtured with self-hypnosis process by giving it auto instructions.

It is the super computer of our brain.

First of all, we have need to understand, what is information? How and where our brain stores the information? One

more question is how to locate the information. To answer the above questions let us understand the principle of

information storage in our memory. What our brain actually memorize, we fail to notice that.

In real words brain doesnt memorize any information however brain generates information. That information can be

in the form of words, images and music. This information is not fixed in our brain. It does not exist in our brain in any

form not in words or images and not in the form of electric impulses. We can experience number of objects in our

surroundings. Every object emits physical and chemical signals which are received by our five sense organs. Our

sense organs eyes and ears catch these signals.

The information which our brain stores that is in the form of connections. There is always connection among objects in

the outside world. Say for example the Vehicles on the roads, fruits in the trees. The stars always in the sky and the fish

swim in the sea. All these are connections among outside world. Therefore, this is concluded that our brain memorizes

connections. When we see a vase with the rose in it on the table, our brain memorize the connection between rose,

vase and table. The brain cannot memorize the images. When we see a vase, it acts upon our eyes, a connection

appears and our brain generates the image of rose, vase and table. The brain is not any repository or any information

store house. It can generate only connections. The process of creating connections is memory. Our brain is the

engine used for fixing the connections, when the stimulus comes from outside it recalls the connection.

    BASIC LAW OF THE MEMORY

Law of Association:- Association means Linking or Connection. This is the association between two

information. One information is already in our Brain. Second information is in the outer world which we areto memorize. This Law establishes the connection between these two information.

    Subconscious Association:-

When we link two information subconsciously, then the Association is called Subconscious Association.

Now, we will learn how to link two objects. Say, for example, there are two objects- Door and phone, then

we can associate these two objects by making an imagination in which a Phone is hanging on the Door.

Applications of the Law of Association:-

    1. Used in memorizing GK.

    2. Used in memorizing Countries and their Capitals.

    3. Used in memorizing Vocabulary

    4. Used in memorizing Names of the Faces

    5. Used in memorizing the qualities, facts and the hobbies of people.

    6. Used in memorizing Academics

Say for example, we want to memorize that the machine used by blind people to read discovered by Louis

    Braille.

Now first we will encode this information. The word Louis Braille can easily be encoded into the word Rail

(Braille). Now we can imagine a situation where we are looking a train which is moving with full of Blind

People. This visualization will help us to recall this information even after the long time.
