PREAMBLEThis MOU seeks to strengthen cooperation between the two institutes involved inthe fields of education, scholarly research and service programs, affirming thesignificance and importance of cooperation in the pursuit of international education.Both institutes recognize the importance of academic interchange betweenuniversities, and active engagement in a wider national and international scholarlycommunity by members of academic institutions. GENERAL OBJECTIVESTo strengthen and encourage communication and collaboration between membersof the two universities, in areas of mutual concern and benefit; to facilitate theexchange of scholars and professors for teaching and research.III. FACULTY EXCHANGEUnder this Memorandum of Understanding, faculty members from one institutionshall have the opportunity to work with the other institution through onlinefacilities in connection with sabbatical leaves, joint research programs, teaching andconsultation with regard to curricula development / upgrading and other academicpursuits.The details of the engagements and the relevant financial matters will be agreedupon prior to the commencement of the said projects.The nature of the activity, period and duration of each project shall be mutuallyagreed upon, beforehand, through the exchange of correspondence between theadministrations of both institutions.IV. RESEARCHThe collaboration in research will promote the advancement of science, technologyand human learning through the undertaking of cooperative research on topics ofmutual interest and expertise; and to stimulate contacts between researchers in thetwo universities and the formation of research linkages and groups, with particularreference to the work of graduate students in both institutions.
