We, the Grand Lodge, … in order to form perfect fraternal union, to establish order, to insure tranquility, to provide for and promote the general welfare of the craft, and to secure the fraternity in the Province of Ontario all the blessings of Masonic privileges do order and establish this Constitution.

With proper information, video and audio recordings, and procedures, this program enables us to go out into our communities with a planned presentation to better inform the community in which we live, and to deliver to the non mason, a knowledge and understanding of our fraternity.

• RETAIN - To retain the interest of those brethren who have been Masons for less than one year.
• REVITALIZE - To revitalize and maintain the interest of those brethren who attend lodge on a regular or irregular basis.
• RENEW - To renew the interest of those brethren who no longer attend lodge.

• Lodge is located north of Toronto• One of the oldest lodges in the area• Community
– Farming– Bedroom community to GTA

Over the past few years, this lodge has endured some very common problems
Did not keep up with our changing world, it has caused it to grow old
Were not successful in encouraging new members to the Craft

stairway

• Building had not been very well maintained
• Members dues were past due• Attendance was low and inconsistent• Meetings – Just doing degree work
and ending late

• They were not even seen in the community, many did not even know the lodge existed

• As a Lodge, they did not give a very good showing in the District

• Create awards to recognize members
• Changed summons• Suggestions to Temple Board• Suggestions to the Master and

• Prepare for a yard sale in June• Promote blood donors• Conduct a Friend to Friend Night• Direct members to visit non-
attendee’s• Visit sick/shut ins and report back

• Master Elect holds a meeting before his installation to discuss:– Financial– Degrees outstanding– Building– Dues outstanding

– Set up committees for the year– Review officer duties for the year– Present a trestle board– Send letters to district(s) asking to
host special event– All officers evaluated 3 months before
installation

• Repairs/renovations - Kitchen, Washroom, Roof, Floor, Electrical Panel, Air Conditioning, Natural Gas, Exterior Siding, Painting, Windows, Cleaner, Ashlars
• New - Stationery (Letterhead and Business Cards), collect Members Dues, Updated Bylaws, increased attendance, new Stairs, Money in the bank
