At-Large Task Force
¨ Pam Senecal ¨ Lisa Reedy ¨ Laura Vetere ¨ Jennifer Jacques ¨ Marybeth Giesler ¨ Jennifer Powers ¨ Christine Myers
Our objective was to formulate a viable
strategy to reduce At-Large members throughout
New York State SHRM chapters. That strategy will
be broadcast to all NYS SHRM chapters through the
At-Large Toolkit.
Thank you to the Team! Team Objective
At-Large Analysis
¨ NYS has the highest number of SHRM members
¨ We also have the highest number of At-Large members
¨ Big Area of Focus
At-Large By the Numbers
At-Large Analysis
1. I didn’t know there was a local chapter 2. No one invited me to join 3. Chapter bylaws prohibited me from joining the local chapter 4. I attended a chapter meeting and didn’t feel welcome 5. No one responded to my e-mails/phone calls for membership information 6. The chapter does not meet my needs 7. I don’t have time to attend—too busy 8. The chapter’s meetings are on days/times that are not convenient for me 9. I would participate if the chapter offered more online resources (mail list services, website, chat rooms, etc.)
